Abstract

Similar to neutron star pulsar(NS pulsar),white dwarf pulsar(WD pulsar)is the white dwarf that emit pulsing signal.The WD pulsar is an analogue of the NS pulsar with the central compact object being a WD rather than a NS.By studying the WD pulsar, people can understand more astrophysical phenomena,including the excesses of the electron and positron cosmic rays,the observational features of the anomalous X-ray pulsars and the close binary AE Aquarii and so on.The radiation mechanism of WD pulsar is the key physical processes to understand WD pulsar model,so it is important to study the radiation mechanism of the WD pulsar.The thesis is written mainly about the radiation mechanism of the WD https://www.doczj.com/doc/879573669.html,e the magnetosphere structure,the acceleration region model and the radiation mechanism of the NS pulsar to explain the energy loss process of the WD pulsar.And introduce the emission model of the first WD pulsar AR Scorpii:The synchrotron radiation of the relativistic electrons trapped by the closed magnetic lines of magnetic WD.

In order to give a basic idea about the recent situation of the WD pulsars model and the study.The first chapter introduces the basic knowledge and basic concepts of white dwarf,magnetic WD and the intermediate polar.The second chapter describes the present situation of the WD pulsars,examples the study that use the WD pulsar model to explain astrophysical phenomena,and the candidate of WD pulsars AE Aquarii and EUVE J0317-855.Detailed descriptions the observational features and spectral characteristic of the first WD pulsar,AR Scorpii.

The third chapter uses the magnetosphere structure,the acceleration region model and the radiation mechanism of the NS pulsars to explain the electromagnetic radiation of the WD pulsar.And introduces the curvature radiation in the polar cap region and the curvature radiation and the inverse Compton scattering in the outer gap region of the
