1. Introduction

The RMC 216 series gauging systems provide accurate, high-speed non-contact measurement of metal strip thickness. The RM 216 system has been installed on rolling mills and process lines world-wide, and has been up-dated to include new features and functions as they have been developed to maintain its position as the industry leader in gauging technology. RMC 216系列测厚仪为金属带材提供精确、高速、无接触式测量。该系统在世界范围内得到广泛的应用,技术和性能的不断更新,确保了它在工业测厚技术方面的领先地位。

Thickness measurement by the transmission method utilises an X-ray source and a detector mounted on either side of the strip to be measured. These sensors, working under the control and supervision of embedded microprocessors to provide rapid response, low noise, and contact-less measurement of strip thickness on hot and cold rolling mills/process lines. The detector signal is sampled and strip thickness recalculated high speed, including all processing to take into account the material composition and temperature. 1.1 Main Electronics Console主控柜

The single electronics console (which must be located away from the mill environment - typically in a control room) contains the main electrical and electronic circuits together with an integrated Technician’s facility. The Technician’s Touch

Control Screen (TCS) can act as a back up to the on-line Operator’s touch screen to maintain operation of the gauge in the event of any problems with the on-line device. In addition, the Technician’s console allows complete on-site flexibility for system configuration. All gauge functions, modes of operation, selection of measured parameters and ranges, etc. can be selected and set up through the Technician’s TCS. 电气控制柜(通常安放于电气控制室)包含主要的电气系统和控制回路,并集成一个工程师工作站。通过技术人员触摸控制屏能够执行在线操作人员控制屏完成的操作,在操作人员设备出现问题的时候,能起到一个替代的作用。此外,通过技术人员控制台能够完成相应的系统设置,所有测厚仪功能、操作模式、测量参数和范围的设定等等,都能够通过技术人员控制屏幕来选择和设定。

Signal processing is carried out by a dedicated task as part of an industry standard modular real time computer within the gauge. The detector output is converted to a digital signal, processed to determine the strip thickness, and then converted back to an analogue signal for deviation outputs. This powerful computer handles all of the other gauge requirements including Operator interfacing, communications with the mill computer, printed coil reports, real time diagnostics monitoring and fault reporting. The electronic units are of modular design and are mounted on DIN rails to facilitate easy access. Electronic circuits are protected by regulated power supplies, cut-outs and fuses. The computer sub-system consists of: 计算机子系统由一下部分组成:

?Main CPU- An embedded Pentium Processor which is used for gauge control and measurement functions, and is based on the Intel Pentium microprocessor running industry standard real time operating system. 主处理器模块:用于完成测厚仪的控制和测量功能,它内嵌英特尔奔腾处理器,使用工业标准的实时操作系统。

?Analogue I/O- These units interface the analogue gauge input and output signals with the gauge computer signals. The modules provide for up to eight 16-bit input channels and two 16-output channels used for gauge control. 模拟量输入/输出模块:这些模块用于向测厚仪计算机系统提供模拟量输入/输出信号。模块提供八个16位模拟量输入通道和两个16位输出通道用于测厚仪控制。

?Serial I/O- This unit interfaces all serial communications to, from and within the gauge. 1.2 Operator Control HMI操作人员站

The RMC 216 system includes an industry standard Ethernet link to permit remote gauge set up from a mill host computer without Operator intervention. However, the Operator can have overall control of the gauging system(s) via a single color monitor for X-ray source switching (ON/OFF) and shutter control (OPEN/CLOSE), and C-frame movement. The HMI consists of a 19” TFT monitor with a KMV

extender module. A touch screen alternative is available

The ergonomic display has been designed to allow the

Operator to select from choices presented by simply

pointing to the appropriate choice and then selecting that

choice. These buttons as they appear to the Operator,

allow easy access to all of the gauge features from one

user-friendly control area. Strip thickness deviation from

target is displayed as a bar graphic with configurable

update frequency, scale and absolute or percentage presentation. 1.3 C-Frame C-型架

A rugged C-frame is supplied with most gauging systems to provide suitable protection for the measuring heads (i.e. the X-ray source and detector). Box construction C-frames are available in standard designs or, where these are not suitable for the mill in question, individually designed frames are available. C-frames are normally constructed from mild steel but stainless steel versions are offered for certain applications requiring extra protection. 1.3 Sensors传感器(射线源和探头)

The sensors, i.e. the X-ray source and the detector, can be either mounted within the C-frame or mounted directly on the mill 传感器,X射线源和探头,能被固定于C型架或直接固定于轧机上。

1.5 Diagnostic Features诊断功能

The Technician’s console located in the main electronics cabinet enables initial system set up and provides an extensive system diagnostics capability. 安装于主电柜内的工程师工作站能够对系统进行初始化设置和提供一个广泛的系统诊断功能。

Real-time (i.e. continuously running) diagnostic features are built into the gauge control computer with fault and error messages displayed to the Operator and Technician via their respective consoles. Fault and error messages are in the form of a number with a brief description in local language. Extensive diagnostic facilities are available to the Technician through the diagnostic pages of his console. Error messages can also be transmitted to the mill computer, or to a line printer. 测厚仪控制计算机内建实时的连续运行的诊断功能软件,故障和错误信息被显示在操作人员和工程师各自的操作终端。故障和错误信息都有一组用本地语言描述的简短说明。技术人员可以通过其控制终端诊断页面执行诊断工作。

1.6 Thickness Measurement厚度测量

Thickness measurement by the X-ray transmission method is based on the principle that radiation which passes through a material will be attenuated by that material. This requires a radiation source and detector mounted on either side of the material to be measured. X射线穿透式测量的原理是基于射线穿过带材后被削弱,一部分被带材吸收,剩余部分到达探头被检测。要求射线源和探头被安装在被测带材的上下两端。

1.6.1 Calibration校准

The basic operation in calibrating a radiation gauge is to ensure that a known thickness change produces a known change in the detector signal. The gauge is factory calibrated against certified external samples. 校准测厚仪的基本操作是确保一个已知厚度的改变得到一个已知探头信号的变化。

Standardise: 标定

In operation, the gauge measurement is periodically corrected for electronic drift and dirt

build-up on the source and detector windows. This operation is called standardisation. 在运行过程中,测厚仪需要定期纠正电气信号的漂移和射线源及探头窗口污垢带来的影响,这一纠偏的操作称为校准。

Standardisation is performed, with no strip present in the X-ray beam, at pre-set intervals or on demand. The gauge measurement is normalised with the X-ray shutter fully closed and fully open. 校准操作被执行时,没有带材在X射线光束中,按照预设的间隔时间,测厚仪分别执行在快门全开和快门全闭状态下的测量。

The frequency of standardisation is a system configuration parameter, which is determined on-site with the knowledge of the gauge operating conditions. It consists of a pentium? PC with a display (19” TFT). The PC runs Windows? and a gauge control and display program which communicates with the system over a RS232 link. HMI是瑞美测厚仪的人机界面。它有一台带19” TFT显示器的奔腾系列计算机组成。该PC运行WindowsXP操作系统和侧厚仪控制、显示程序,通过RS232接口与其它系统通讯。

2.2 Digital Interface数字量接口

Provide Ethernet TCP/IP interfaces between the mill computer and the gauging system. Many configuration options are supplied as standard and can be easily configured by the service engineer or customer. 在测厚仪与用户计算机之间提供标准的以太网TCP/IP接口,提供的标准选项使得服务工程师或用户能够很容易地配置这一接口。

一、原则 涂层测厚仪是常见的一种设备涂层检测工具,它采用单片机技术,精度高、数字显示、示值稳定、功耗低、操作简单方便、触摸按键、单探头全量程测量、体积小、重量轻,且具有存储、读出、统计、低电压指示、系统/零点/两点校准等特点,涂层测厚仪采用磁性测厚法,可以方便无损地测量铁磁材料上非磁性涂层的厚度,如钢铁表面上的锌、铜、铬等镀层或油漆、搪瓷、玻璃钢、喷塑、沥青等涂层的厚度。 二、工作原理 我公司使用的涂层测厚仪为MC-2000A型,该仪器采用电磁感应法测量涂(镀)层的厚度。位于部件表面的探头产生一个闭合的磁回路,随着探头与铁磁性材料间的距离的改变,该磁回路将不同程度的改变,引起磁阻及探头线圈电感的变化。利用这一原理可以精确地测量探头与铁磁性材料间的距离,即涂(镀)层厚度。 三、技术参数 1、测量范围:0~1200um 2、测量误差:<3%±1um 3、最小示值:1um 4、显示方式: 4位液晶数字显示 5、主要功能: (1).测量:单探头全量程测厚 (2).存储、删除:可存入600个测量数据,可以删除测量中的单个可疑数据,也可以删除存储区内的所有数据。 (3).读:读出已存入的测量数据 (4).统计:设有三个统计量,平均值最大值最小值 (5).校准:可进行零点校准、两点校准及系统校准 (6).电量:具有欠压显示功能 (7).蜂鸣提示:操作过程中有蜂鸣提示 (8).打印:可打印测量值,选配微型打印机 (9).关机:具有自动关机和手动关机两种方式 6、使用环境温度:0℃~+40℃相对湿度:不大于90%

四、应用方法 1.开机前准备:根据电池仓盖指示的方向打开电池仓,然后按照机 壳后面的正负极指示装入两节1.5V电池,压好电池仓盖。 2.按键名称及作用 A."ON/OFF"键:为复合键。在关机状态时,为开机键;在开机状态 时,为关机键。仪器在自动关机后应按此键开机。 B."MENU"键:为菜单键。 C."▲"、"▼"键:调整键,"▲"为增加键,"▼"为减少键。 D."CAL"键:具有校准/清除功能。 E."ENTER"键:用来确认某一功能状态。 五、使用方法 1.开机:先取开探头线插在仪器上,(插拔探头时,请抓住探头线上的接插件部位插拔,不要直接抓住探头线,以免损坏探头。)然后按动“ON/OFF”键(探头与铁基或磁场的距离保持10cm以上)开机听到蜂鸣声后仪器进入测量状态,可以直接进行测量。如果测量数据偏差较大,可以进行校准后再测量。 测量时要注意测量指示,箭头消失后才能再次测量,如右图 2.校准:本仪器分为系统校准、两点校准和铁基校准三种。 在一般情况下只需进行铁基校准即可进行准确测量。当仪器铁基与被测件铁基的磁性和表面粗糙度差别较大时,可以进行系统校准以保证测量精确度。 (1) 铁基校准(零点校准) 仪器标准基体金属的磁性和表面粗糙度应当与待测试件基体金属的磁性和表面粗糙度相似。为了保证测量的精确性,可以在测量测试件之前先进行铁基校准。 校准方法:在仪器开机状态下,将探头垂直的放在被测试件的裸露基体上进行测量,测量两次,测完第二次按住探头不动按下"CAL"键,伴随着两声蜂鸣即可完成铁基的校准。如果没发出两声蜂鸣说明操作有误,重新按以上步骤操作直至发出两声蜂鸣即可。 (2) 两点校准 在测量过程当中,如果发现个别测量值偏差较大可以通过两点校准方法进行调整。 校准方法:把一个已知厚度的被测试件作为标准样片进行测量,如果显示值与真实值不一致,可以通过"▲"、"▼"键进行加1或减1操作。按住"▲"、"▼"键不放可以进行连续加、减,直到显示值和真实值相同为止。校准完成后即可进行正常测量。
