Unit 2 What are we going to do?

Lesson 5 The fifth lesson

一、说教材

1.教材分析

本单元的核心教学内容是谈论未来活动(Talking about future activities, 第五课通过老师与学生讨论爬山活动设置了一个将来时的情景,由此引出了许多将来时的句子,如:Next Friday we’re going on our first field trip. Where are we going? What are we going to do? 等。对话中同时也对go+doing 短语进行了复习,如:go fishing , go boating , go hiking 等。第二部分内容是部be going to do sth.句型的巩固练习。第三部分是学生对所学知识进行拓展运用。

2.教学重点

(1) 指导学生掌握和熟练运用难以理解的词、句型和句子,如Next Friday we’re going on our first

field trip….

(2) 指导学生口头熟练表达就远足活动这一话题展开对话内容,包括第二部分的对话巩固。

(3) be going to do sth. 句型的熟练掌握运用。

3.教学难点

学生根据实际情境需要真正开口讲英语。

4.教学目标

(1) 技能目标:学生能听懂本对话录音,能听懂师生之间就本对话内容而展开的问答,会和别人

展开对话,了解和传递信息;能就类似话题,创造性地自编对话;掌握表示将来打算句型be going to的用法。

(2) 知识目标:学生要牢记所有该课新单词,,还要记住新学短语、句型、难句及本课对话各句

的英语表达,为实现自如讲英语奠定基础。

(3) 情感目标:学生要爱学英语、爱说英语、想说语,对英语学习投以极大的兴趣和热情。

(4) 学习策略目标:改变传统的死记硬背,积极主动地投入到语言的实践中去,包括听、说、读、

写的实践。在实践中提高语言的综合使用能力,加深对基础知识的掌握和记忆。

二、说教法

为了充分以学生为主体的课堂教学,并考虑到学生认知特点和年龄特征,对本课我主

要采取了如下几种教法:

1.听录音.

听音是英语学习的重要方法,也是课堂教学的重要步骤。在听中可以感知,可以模仿。

2.重点解释,个别操练.

在每一堂教学中,学生总会遇到一些难以理解的词、句型、短语、句子或某一语法现象。如本课出现的be going to 句型的用法等都需要教师个别解释甚至创设语言情境进行操练和举例,以扫除自由交际过程中的拦路虎,为语言的进一步学习奠定基础。

3.指导学生展开情景对话。

师生完全可以根据当时的实际思路创造性地交流,这种教法是实现语言知识向语言能力转变的必经之路。

4.学生独立操作。

首先要求学生根据师生示范独立对话,随后叫几组分别站起来表演。这是深化课堂教学的重要举措。

5.教师可设计填空或完成句子,以检查学生对本对话的掌握情况。

三、说学法

我所采用的教法有助于学生掌握如下学法:

1.养成听的习惯。

学生要经常听录音,听教师讲英语,听同学们讲英语,这对学好英语大有好处。

2.科学储备大量知识。

学生不掌握丰富的知识就不可能进行很好的语言交流。要学会在实践中学,在应用中学,这样学来的知识记忆深刻、灵活度大。

3.及时巩固,反复记忆。

凡教师在课堂上所讲到的语言难点,学生应及时整理,再次认识并积极使用。对前面已学过的课文,学生要有安排地经常复习,否则常常是学了新的,忘了旧的。

4.积极操练,重在口头。

在课堂上,学生要积极参与教师设计的每个教学活动,要大胆开口,创造性地说自己想说的话。

课后和其他同学及时进行英语交流。只有这样,才能将书本知识变成自己的知识和语言能力;

也只有这样,才能实现脱口说英语的目的。

四、说教学程序

1. 复旧引新。

a. 唱歌曲“Head shoulder knee and toes”做热身运动。

为减轻学生学习的紧张气氛以及令学生轻松地来到英语课堂上来,在课前让学生全部站起边唱歌边做热身运动.

b. 单词拼写接力赛.

由于我希望学生能在课堂上多点操练的机会,所以我事先在早读课就让学生基本掌握了本课的新单词。在本节课的一开始就让学生以开火车形式拼写前一位同学给予的单词的比赛方式,以此让学生在游戏比赛中回忆并牢记该课单词。

c. 口语训练

教师与某学生先示范对话,同学之间模仿,进行一问一答。复习用表示一般将来be going to 句型询问别人打算做什么。

A: what are you going to do tomorrow / next week…?

B: I am going to …

2.新课导入。

a. 设置情景,电脑投影图片。

李老师的班打算举行他们班的第一次野外旅游。他们班正在讨论去哪还有在野外旅游中进行什么活动。(学习对话1)观看电脑放映回答问题:Where are they going?然后观看第二次回答问题:What are they going to do ?让学生在两次的观看中进一步了解课文内容。

b. 模仿操练。

学生模仿录音跟读一次,然后同桌间朗读。培养学生注意模仿、大胆开口说英语的能力。

c. 引出新知识进行教学。

be going to +动词原形句型的熟练掌握;field trip, go fishing, go hiking, different kinds of 等新短语的解释运用。

3.情景交际操练。

(1)在学生对课文内容掌握理解的基础上,四个同学为一组分角色表演对话。

(2)熟练掌握Part 2要求掌握的be going to do 句型的一般疑问句。同桌两个同学互相问答。(3)学生根据所学知识,模仿对话1就下星期该班打算到仙湖进行野外活动进行讨论。学生自由对话,让学生人人都开口说英语。并且培养学生的自主能力和创新能力。

4.巩固验收。

(1)单词拼写。

First, let me introduce myself. My name is Guo Xinzhi, and I am working as an English teacher in Yong’an Middle Sch ool, Congtai District of Handan. My topic today is taken from Lesson 37 of Unit 5 in Student Book 4. The main content of this unit is “Go With Transportation”, and the topic of Lesson 37 is “Flying Donuts”. I have decided to say the lesson from six parts: Part One——Analysis of the Teaching Material One: Status and Function 1. This unit tells us the improvement of traffic transportation and the related stories. Besides learning this, students will also learn some words, phrases and expressions of traffic, and so on. In Lesson 37, Danny will introduce a new type of transportation to us, it is imaginary. 2. To attain “four skills” request of listening, speaking, reading and writing, I will have the students do some exercise about the text. 3. Such a topic is very important in this unit. I will lead the students to use their imagination and encourage them to be creative. For example, helping them use English to describe their imaginary transportation. So I think if the students can learn this lesson well, it will be helpful to make them learn the rest of this unit. 4. While teaching them, I will also encourage them to say something about what they think the future transportations will be like. In a way, from practising such a topic, it can be helpful to raise learning interests of students and it will be also helpful to improve their spoken language. Two: Teaching Aims and Demands The teaching aim's basis is established according to Junior School English syllabus' provision. 1. Knowledge objects (1) To study the new words “fuel”, “oil” and “coal”. (2) To learn and master the phrases “think of, on the way to …, have fun”, etc. 2. Ability objects (1) To develop the students’ abilities of listening, speaking, reading and writing. (2) To train the stu dents’ ability of working in pairs. (3) To develop the students’ abilities of communication by learning the useful structures.
