Now the place we are standing by is the memorial well of Nankai which was rebuilt in October, 2010. It was donated by the first 33 students of Nankai, who wanted to show great thanks to their alma mater. It encourages us to learn from the old generation as well as to be grateful to our school for those valuable lessons it has given us.

This building in front of us is called Boling Building. It’s named after the first headmaster of our school. As the oldest building in our campus, it is now used as the history museum of Nankai.

The mirror we are looking at has a history of over 100 years. It’s also called the treasure of Nankai. The forty words on the top were written by our first headmaster. It mainly means that every student in our school should be neat, well groomed and calm. During the early years, students were allowed to enter the classroom only after they tidied up in front of the mirror.

This classroom was where Zhou Enlai studied in. Zhou Enlai was the first Premier of the People’s Republic of China. The display inside is based on the real scene in order to show our respect for the best student of Nankai. The left one at the first row is Premier Zhou. At that time, only the best students in the class could sit in the front. In a word, Premier Zhou is our role model.

The building now we are facing is called the Ruiting Auditorium. During the Chinese Revolution, many revolutionary activities have been staged here. The Auditorium is also one of the buildings that luckily survived from the air attack. Now it’s used for many speeches, dramas and important ceremonies.

北楼

Here we are standing before the North Building, which was built soon after our school was set up. Many famous movies and TV series have shot here. This building has been rebuilt many times after it was first finished. Now it is used as musical classrooms. Many clubs use it for activities as well.

This building is called Xiangyu. By the way, Xiangyu is the other name of Zhou Enlai. This is the main teaching building of our school. There are many mltimedia classrooms, offices and laboratories in it.

This dormitory was first built in1914. Two Premier of China --- Zhou Enlai and the Wen Jiabao have lived here. Now let’s go in and take a look. This is an exact reproduction. At that time, Premier Zhou slept in the first bed counting from left. And this dorm was always the neatest one. Now foreign students and single teachers live here instead.

Current premier

Our school is consists of two parts. The one on the other side of the overbridge is called the South Yard. There is a stadium, a gymnasium, a basketball court and many other modern facilities there.

Here stands the Monument of Four Martyrs. Our school built it in order to recall the four students who dedicated their life to the revolution. The inscription on the monument commemorates their patriotic activities. They are our heroes and we will all remember them.

Here we are at the Fansun Building donated by students and teachers. It’s named after Yan Fansun who was one of the founders of Nankai. Fansun Building is now used as the library of our school.

This is a statue of Zhou Enlai. It’s made of marble. As you can see, there are many flowers and trees(hawthorn) surround it. And it is a nice place for us to take photos.

The Liberty Bell, located in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, is an American bell of great historic sign ificance. The Liberty Bell is perhaps one of the most prominent symbols associated with early A merican history and the battle for American independence and freedom. Its most famous ringing, on July 8, 1776, summoned citizens for the reading of the Declaration of Independence by the Second Continental Congress. Previously, it had been rung to announce the opening of the First Continental Congress, in 1774, and the Battle of Lexington and Concord, in 1775. The bell was not officially known as the "Liberty Bell" until 1837, when it became a symbol of the abolitionist movement. Its cast inscription from Leviticus 25:10 states, "Proclaim Liberty thro ughout all the land unto all the inhabitants thereof." The Liberty Bell is one of the most familia r symbols of independence and nationhood within the United States, second only to the Statue of Liberty; strangely perhaps, given its widespread use within the country, the Liberty Bell is hardl y recognized outside of the US, and far less well known as a symbol of America than either th e Statue o f Liberty or the Stars and Stripes. 2.自由女神 the Statue of Liberty Liberty Enlightening the World, known more commonly as the Statue of Liberty, is a statue give n to the United States by France in 1885, standing at Liberty Island in the mouth of the Hudso n River in New York Harbor as a welcome to all visitors, immigrants, and returning Americans. The copper statue, dedicated on October 28, 1886, commemorates the centennial of the United States and is a gesture of friendship between the two nations. The sculptor was Frederic Auguste Bartholdi. Gustave Eiffel, the designer of the Eiffel Tower, engineered the internal structure. Eu gène Viollet-le-Duc was responsible for the choice of copper in the statue's construction and ado ption of the Repoussétechnique. The Statue of Liberty is one of the most recognizable icons of the U.S. worldwide,[1] and, in a more general sense, represents liberty and escape from oppress ion. The Statue of Liberty was, from 1886 until the Jet age, often the first glimpse of the Unite d States for millions of immigrants after ocean voyages from Europe. It's said that il Sancarlone or the Colossus of Rhodes inspired it. 3. The Washington Monument The Washington Monument usually refers to the large white-colored obelisk at the west end of t he National Mall in Washington, D.C.. It is a United States Presidential Memorial constructed fo r George Washington, the first President of the United States and the leader of the revolutionary Continental Army, which won independence from the British following the American Revolution ary War.

In the novel "Lost Horizon", an English diplomat Conway and his brother Gorge scattered the English citizens and helped them leave the dangerous region. On their way home, their plane was hijacked and fell down into the mountain in the Tibetan region. Some lucky survivors were taken to Shangri-la where Conway found lots of fantastic things in such a state founded nearly 200 years ago, in which the local people lived up to more than one hundred years old and lived peacefully and harmoniously with the other people, animals and everything here. The place was called "Shangri-La" by the local folks. James Hilton located "Shangri-La" in a mysterious valley which was surrounded by snowcapped mountains; near where there were snow-clad peaks, blue lakes, broad grassy marshlands, and lamaseries, Buddhist nunneries, mosques, Catholic Church, the human beings and the nature were in perfect harmony, several religions and varies of nationalities exited at the same time; the temples looked splendid in green and golden; though people contacted the outer world by caravan for a long time, many foreign experts and scholars had come here t o investigate and remained much relics…… Obviously, that is not only a beautiful scenery, but also a kind of artistic conception.
