1.1 Person
1.1.1 Family member
In my family, my mother has influenced me greatly because she has so many good qualities.
First of all, my mother is very diligent. She always organizes her schedule very well. Not only does she always work hard to earn enough money for my college tuition but also she uses her leisure time to do enough housework. I really appreciate her.
And then, she is well educated and keeps an open mind. She is able to understand people from different generations. So she often gives me many useful suggestions about my study and encourages me to make decisions by myself.
What’s more, my mother is also very humorous. She has a magic to keep our family full of laughing, and this gives me many wonderful memories during my childhood.
So, her personal values set a good example for me to follow in my own life and this is why I think my mother has influenced me the most in my life.
1.1.2 A person that you admire
The person I admire is my father.
He is a petroleum engineer in a big Oil company. He is very professional in his working area and has strong background of petroleum engineering. He has highly sense of responsibility toward every project and has solved many technical problems for his team.
Also, my father always keeps an open mind. He is able to understand people from different generations. So he often gives me many useful suggestions about my study and encourages me to make decisions by myself.
What’s more, my father is also very humorous. He has a magic to keep our family full of laughing, and even in his workplace, he can use his sense of humor to motive colleague working with passion.
1.1.3 A good teacher
As far as I am concerned, a good teacher should have several different characteristics.
First of all, he should be knowledgeable. That is to say, he should have a wide range of knowledge to share with us. Of course, it does not mean that every teacher should be a walking dictionary we can look up anytime.
And then, he should be humorous because I want to hear funny stories from him. I certainly don't want to doze off in the class. So some funny stories and encouraging stories can attract our attention.
What’s more, he should be patient to his students as it is an essen tial quality of a teacher. He should never lose his patience in class when students ask questions repeatedly.
A teacher should explain each and every aspect of the topic in the easiest way.
1.1.4 A famous person I want to meet
If I have a chance to meet so meone famous, I’ll choose Bill Gates.
First of all, because he is one of the billionaires in the world, I would like to ask him how he can earn so much money and what he will plan to do in the future.

新托福口语有许多新特性，就托福口语第一题是大家备考托福口语中的一个难点之一，在开始复习托福口语之前，跟随360教育集团金牌留学顾问老师先来了解一下托福口语第一题的四种题型分别是哪些。 第一类托福口语第一题： Describe the famous person you admire most. Explain why you admire this person. Include details and examples to support your response. （TOFEL ibt 08.06.22）这是一个对人描述类的考题，我们拿到一个新托福口语题目后，脑海中应该立刻浮现出最基本的答题框架：topic sentence + supporting ideas. Topic sentence是比较容易想的，甚至是可以虚构的，所以问题就落在supporting ideas的思路上。 描述一个人，最容易的角度便是这个人内在的qualities. 如：humorous， open-minded， easy-going，warm-hearted， community-minded， high driven， visionary， knowledgeable…有了这些点之后，我们要想办法把点变成线，也就是把一个观点扩充成一到两个句子。 我们可以用描述的方法去讲这个观点同意转换，如‘he’s a very open-minded person and he’s always flexible to changes. 同时我们还可以用举例的方法来进行扩展，如‘He’s a high-driven guy and he worked so hard on his Toefl test， study almost 24/7.’ 第二类托福口语第一题： Choose an object you like and explain why it is of special value to you. Please include specific examples and details in your explanation. （TOFEL ibt 08.02.24），这道托福口语题属于物品题，物品的题目也是一个常考点，但是准备的面比较广，可能会出成： a type of pet （Longman p.52），a kind of game （Longman p.72），your important gift （Longman p.64），咱们可以从两个角度去答题：对物品本身的简单描述+ 物品的来源或是重要意义，如描述宠物可以说：‘ coz he keeps me company， when I was sad， he was always by my side.’又如描述礼物可以说：‘ The psp was a gift from my Grandpa， it was a credit to my hard work on the SAT test.’ 第三类托福口语第一题： If you could live abroad， where would you go？ Explain why you would go there. （Longman p.42）。地方题目也是常考题型，变换方式相对较少，比如有：the city you live （Longman p.31），a city you have always wanted to go （TOFEL ibt 08.02.02），your favorite place when you were a child （TOFEL ibt 08.03.08）等等。地点题的答题思路为：景色，饮食，高雅休闲场所，教育，就业机会。 如果说美国，景色可以描述national park， the beauty of nature well preserved，饮食可以说dessert， I’ve got a sweet tooth，如说高雅休闲场所，可以说Broadway， or NBA games，教育可以谈美国的大学，就业机会可以谈美国的500 fortunes. 再比如如果讲苏州，景色可以说gardens，well preserved ancient building，就业机会可以讲讲苏州工业园，SIP，provides a lot of job and internship opportunities for graduates…

托福口语Task1四类话题整合及思路整理 托福口语当中，task 1，2作为independent tasks，是很多考生比较头疼的问题。虽然它相较于后面的integrated tasks来说形式简单，给你一句话的题目直接说出你的思路即可，但是它所涉及到的知识面是非常广泛的，甚至会涉及到我们之前完全没有思考过的领域，甚至是不熟悉的领域。这就要求着我们在复习的时候对于不同话题的思路整理，包括相似话题的整合、以及陌生话题的思路扩展。 Task 1无非就是让我们描述一个与我们生活息息相关的一些事物，我们较为常见的一些话题可以简单来说归纳为四个字母——“OPPE”，及O(object), P(person), P(place), E(event)。 一、object类话题 根据以往常出的题目总结来看，object往往可以分为tangible object(有形物体)以及intangible object(无形无体)。 Tangible object，顾名思义我们能够看得见摸得着的实物，除了一些比较常规的special gift，meaning object之外，还包括出题者最爱考的一些关于book类的话题，即让我们描述最喜欢看的、或是读过的最有意义的一本书。另外，较为常见的一些题目还包括描述a song, a film, a painting, a photograph等题目。在这样的题目当中，很多同学因为不知道要说什么或是不熟悉这样的事物导致完全说不出或是表述不流利，结结巴巴说不到重点。在遇到此类题目，一个比较简单的思路就是不要纠结于一些大家都要知道的名著，我们完全可以从自己比较熟悉的一些话题展开，如自己画的第一幅全家福。另外，尽量避免每个人都在讲的一些话题，比如大部分人都在说《Harry Potter》，那我们如果换成《How to win friends》会不会好很多呢?一定不要给自己挖坑，怎么便于表述怎么来。 至于intangible object，较为常考的有让我们去描述positive invention，favorite subject，important characteristic等话题。在这里还是一样，就我们容易表述的说，每个想法列出两个关键词，再去展开就可以了，在这里表述以简单易懂为主，千万不要说一些高深曲折的大道理。掌握了这些素材之后，object类题目就没问题了。所以建议在考试之前，先把所有可能会考到的题目先过一遍，想到要说什么就已经成功了一半了。 二、person类话题 Person类话题在task 1的考试中形式不多，总结起来无非两类人，一种是我们比较熟悉的在我们身边的人，例如family member, best friend, favorite teacher, an old person you respect 等，由于这些都是我们较为熟悉的，所以比较容易想到，在表述的时候也较为简单。相对来说会有一定难度的就是第二类人——famous person名人了。在task 1，它有可能让你去描述一位你钦佩、喜欢或是想见面的名人，甚至给你规定一定领域。这是如果碰到一些不关注这一领域的就不太好说了。比如一些女生平时对体育不感兴趣，但考试的时候让你去描述一个你最喜欢的足球选手，那可能一下子就懵圈了。但是遇到这样的题目也不用怕，在我们备考时完全可以提前准备好相关素材，在考试的时候也不是任何领域都会考我们，常见的也就actor/actress, singer, spotsman, business man, leader这几类，所以就算我们不喜欢不感兴趣，只要我每个领域都想出来一个人就完全没有问题啦。 在这里给到两个我们凡事涉及到人都非常通用的一些素材思路，一是表述ta在专业领域上的卓越表现。比如ta是歌手，我们说ta歌唱得好，是演员我们说ta演技精湛，是商人我们说ta把公司
