考试介绍
职称英语是全国专业技术人员职称外语等级考试的一种，人事部组织全国统一标准的职称外语考试，采取统一大纲、闭卷笔试的形式进行。考试分为分为A、B、C三个等级。
职称英语就是这样一项国家级外语考试，它规定范围、限定报名条件、确定考试时间和评价目标，最后对考试合格者颁发合格证书。
考试时间

等级划分
考试按职称的系列、级别分为A、B、C三个等级，专业人员按规定的级别任选一个语种参加考试。其中英语又按照专业不同分为分英语综合、英语理工、英语卫生三个类别。考试主要测试专业技术人员阅读理解外文专业基础文献的能力。报考人员可根据评审要求及自己所从事的专业工作，选择一个语种及有关类别参加考试。考试合格由市职改办颁发人事部统一印制的《职称外语等级考试合格证书》，在全国范围有效。
综合类，理工类，卫生类考试原则上没有严格的界限。综合类文章可以考到理工类去，理工类可以考到卫生类和综合类。三类考试之间没有严格界限区分。国家在每位考生评定职称的时候，到底要求是理工类成绩，卫生类成绩，基本上国家还没有明确规定。假如你评定主任医师，卫生类职称，你可以考综合类，也可以考卫生类。严格意义上没有很严格的要求。到底决定报综合类，理工类，还是卫生类，有两个依据。首先问一下自己单位的人，要定职称要报什么类比较合适。如果单位没有明确要求和规定的话，可以根据自己的现实情况选择，如果工作中接触的文章都是理工类的文章，那就报理工类。假如接触的文章是社会类文章，那就报综合类。
(一)A级
1、高教、科研、卫生、工程、农业系统列申报高级;
2、申请报高级国际商务师;
3、其它系列申报正高级；
(二)B级
考试不直接对应试者所掌握的语法知识进行考查，但应试者必须掌握基本的语法知识，主要包括：
1、工程、农业、卫生系列的县属(含县)以下单位工作人员申报高级;
2、高教、科研、卫生、工程、农业系列申报中级;
3、翻译系列申报高级第二外语;
4、高级未分正副的系列(不含工程系列)审报高级;其它系列申报副高级;
(三)C级
1、除翻译系列外，申报高级第二外语;
2、翻译系列申报中级第二外语;
3、工程、农业、卫生系列在县属(含县)以下单位工作人员申报中级;
4、其它系列申报中级;

考试要求
为达到评价目标，考试对应试者的英语词汇量、语法知识和阅读理解能力分别提出如下要求：（一）词汇量
考试所涉及的词汇和短语主要依据本大纲所附词汇表。对申报不同级别的应试者要求认知的词汇量不等：
1、申报A级的人员应认知6000个左右的单词和一定数量的短语;
2、申报B级的人员应认知5000个左右的单词和一定数量的短语;
3、申报C级的人员应认知4000个左右的单词和一定数量的短语;
4、三个级别大纲要求词汇汇总;
(二)语法知识
考试不直接对应试者所掌握的语法知识进行考查，但应试者必须掌握基本的语法知识，主要包括：
1、英语句子的基本语序及其意义;
2、英语句子的结构和常用句型;
(三)阅读理解能力
阅读理解要求考生能综合运用英语语言知识和阅读技能来理解本专业的或一般内容的英语书面材料。具体来讲，阅读能力主要包括下列几个方面：
1、掌握所读材料的主旨和大意;
2、了解阐述主旨的事实和细节;
3、利用上下文猜测某些词汇和短语的意义;
4、既理解个别句子的意义，也理解上下文之间的意义关系;
5、根据所读材料进行判断和推论;
6、领会作者的观点、意图和态度。
考试标准
职称英语考试满分100分，通过线包括国家和地方两种，国家线近年来保持60分通过线，地方线因各地区而有所区别，以等于或低于60分为原则，有的低至25分。
通过国家分数线的长期有效，通过地方分数线未过国家线的根据当地不同规定会有所区别，整体趋于长期有效。
报名时间
全国各地一般都是在11月底至第二年的1月之间进行报名，全国大多数省份一般集中于12月左右。报名期一般有10多天，报名结束后会有进行资格审查。每年一般都会有补报名的时间。
报名条件
凡晋升、聘任专业技术职务，其级别属专业技术职务试行条例中规定需具备一定外语水平的专业技术人员，及过去参加国家统一的中级专业技术资格考试(会计师、经济师、统计师、审计师)，成绩合格，已取得专业技术资格的专业技术人员应参加职称外语等级考试。
但对1977年全国恢复高考前入学的大、中专毕业生，现从事图书资料、文博、档案、群众文化、工艺美术、中医、中药工作以及在大、中专学校、技工学校从事公共政治理论课、中古字号课程教学的专业技术人员，可选考古汉语(医古文)或外语。
1977年恢复高考后入学的大、中专毕业生，必须参加职称外语等级考试。
免考条件
全国规定
十类可免考或放宽外语成绩要求的人员
1.具有国家认定的相应留学经历的;
2.申报副高级职称时职称外语考试成绩达到要求，申报正高级职称需再次参加同一级别考试的;
3.出版过外文专著、译著或以其他方式证明具备较高外语水平，并经一定程序确认的;
4.经审核确认，能力业绩突出、在本行业该地区作出重要贡献的;
5.在乡镇以下基层单位(经省级政府人事部门批准，可放宽至县级以下基层单位)从事专业技术工作的;
6.在地市以下单位，长期在野外从事农业、林业、水利、采矿、测绘、勘探、铁路施工、公路施工等专业
技术工作的;
7.年龄较大并长期从事专业技术工作的;
8.从事具有中国特色、民族传统的临床中医药、民族医药、工艺美术、古籍整理、历史时期考古等专业技术工作的;
9.取得外语专业大专以上学历并从事本专业工作，申报职称有第二外语要求的;
10.申报各系列初级职称
取得外语(从事翻译工作人员及外语教师第二外语)专业专科及以上学历的人员申报中、高级职称评审;获得博士学位申报高级(含正高级)职称评审;获得硕士学位申报中级职称评审;
留学回国人员首次参加职称评审;申报副高级职称评审时已取得职称外语合格证书(含1977年底前参加工作人员外语成绩达到45分)的人员申报正高级职称评审;
参加《全国工商企业出国培训备选人员外语考试》，通过中(Ⅰ)级者申报中级职称评审，通过高(A)级者申报高级职称评审等五类考生可免职称外语等级考试。
凡参加国家人事部和北京市人事局组织的各类专业技术资格考试和职(执)业资格考试取得资格证书的人员，聘用单位可根据岗位需要自主决定对应聘人员的外语水平要求。
凡实行考评结合的系列(专业)及体育教练员、工艺美术、广播电视艺术、技校高级实习指导教师系列(专业)，外语考试成绩可不作为申报条件，其合格成绩或当年考试成绩作为职称评审的要素之一。

第一步：阅读报名文件查看报考条件

特别提醒：
(1)、照片处理技巧
照片规格：358*441，彩色处理方法：从开始菜单打开Windows自带的画图软件，从文件菜单打开照片…
(2)、报名照片要求
1)、职称英语报名照片背景必须无任何装饰，背景色用白色或蓝色或红色;
2)、照片必须是近期相片，显示头部的正面，并且不能佩戴帽饰。
3)、照片文件类型为jpg或gif，大小不能大于2m。必须是相机拍摄的相片，扫描的相片禁用。
4)、照片尺寸规格：分辨率不小于72pixels/inch?长580px?宽420px。
各位考生请注意，上述照片格式是职称英语网上报名电子照片的格式，而现场报名或现场确认要用到的照片为1寸证件照。
(3)、报考类别选择
综合类，理工类，卫生类考试原则上没有严格的界限。国家在每位考生评定职称的时候，到底要求是理工类成绩，卫生类成绩，基本上国家还没有明确规定。
如:你评定主任医师，卫生类职称，你可以考综合类，也可以考卫生类。
选择依据： 1.根据单位的要求选择。 2.根据个人的自身情况选择，如果工作中接触理工类文章较多，那就报理工类。反之，则报综合类。(3)、级别选择
准考证打印
完成网上报名的人员一般于考前15天左右打印准考证，广大考生可在规定时间内，登录报名网站进行网上打印。考生下载准考证中遇有问题，请及时与本人相应确认点联系。
合格标准
职称英语考试合格标准每年不同，但变化不大，可参考2015年合格标准。
考试通过率
职称英语证书作用
一般就是单位评职称的时候需要参加，如果要评中级或以上职称就需要参加职称英语考试，除非你符合免考条件。国家规定评中级以上职称必须通过职称英语考试，所以你要评中级职称还需要考职称英语考试。当然职称和工资应该是挂钩的。职称越高，基本工资越高。
