Wearing glasses and a T-shirt, one can hardly relate Chai Huilong to his job – a chive (韭菜) farmer. Two years ago, Chai graduated from Tianjin College of University of Science and Technology Beijing. He took over his parents’ 20,000-square-meter plot of land and set up a business: growing Chinese chives.

But instead of growing chives in the traditional way, Chai plants them in garden pots and sells them directly to customers through an online store. Now his family earns 10 million yuan a year.

Chai is one of many young people who have found great career opportunities in rural areas. They make good use of their agricultural knowledge and new technologies, and benefit from supportive policies. When Chai came up with the idea of growing chives in pots, he was not sure about running his own business. But Youth Business China, a non-profit program backed by the government, gave him “courage and strength”, he said.

The program helps promote youth entrepreneurship(创业). It offers 30,000 to 50,000 yuan in start-up funding to young people who have promising ideas. It also assigns each of them a tutor who provides guidance on spending fund money and operating the company. “My tutor makes sure I’m on the right track,” said Chai. “Without him, I will lose heart.”

Local governments also encourage young graduates to pursue a career in rural areas. They often provide special subsidies to those who run agriculture-related businesses. For example, Chai was able to buy agricultural machinery and tools at a discount.

“Besides, be prepared for a lot of mental pressure if you plan to be a modern farmer,” said Chai.

“My relatives and friends regard farming as a less respectable job. But being a farmer is just my job, not my identity,” said Chai.

So far, his products have been sold to places as far away as Dubai in the United Arab Emirates. Chai is even more optimistic that he can further broaden the definition(定义) of farming in the future.

高三一模化学考试总结 2018-01-11 高三一模化学考试总结【一】 通过模拟考试让我对自己近段的教学思路与方法有所反思。考试结果反应的主要问题:学生基础知识不扎实,有的学生不能灵活运用所学知识,有一些类型的题目学生没有见过,不知该从何入手,导致得分太低,主要原因:复习不到位,基础知识不扎实。 一、对学生学习引导的反思 高中的化学是一门很重要的学科,但是“化学难学”的印象可能会使不少学生望而却步。因此初三的教学首先是要正确的引导,让学生顺利跨上主动学习化学这个大的台阶,其次是要让学生建立一个良好的化学知识基础,然后根据学生的具体情况选择提高。通过分期渗透,逐步提高。通过降低台阶,减少障碍,真正能够把学生吸引过来,而不是把学生吓跑了,可是,我并没有很快领会这种意图,因而在实际教学中不注意知识的形成过程,只靠生硬的讲解,只重视告诉结论,讲解题目,这怎么能怪学生对化学产生畏难情绪呢?学生如果对化学失去兴趣,对基本概念搞不清楚、对知识掌握不牢也就不足为怪了!如果我作为引路者有意识的降低化学学习的门槛,先将学生引进门,哪怕先是让学生感觉到“化学好学”的假象,我都是成功的。 二、对教学目标的反思 首先,知识、能力、情意三类教学目标的全面落实。对基础知识的讲解要透彻,分析要细腻,否则直接导致学生的基础知识不扎实,并为以后的继续学习埋下祸根。比如,教师在讲解“如何正确书写化学方程式”时,如果对“配平”讲解的不透彻,学生在后来的学习中就经常出现化学反应方程式不能配平的现象;对学生能力的训练意识要加强,若留给学生思考的时间少,学生的思维能力没有得到有效的引导训练,导致学生分析问题和解决问题能力的没有提高;还有就是要善于创设化学情景,让学生感觉到化学离生活很近。总之我要在教学活动中从一个知识的传播者自觉转变为与学生一起发现问题、探讨问题、解决问题的组织者、引导者、合作者。 其次,对重点、难点要把握准确。教学重点、难点正确与否,决定着教学过程的意义。在化学教学活动开始之前,首先要明确教学活动的方向和结果,即所要达到的质量标准。在教学目标中一节课的教学重点、难点如果已经非常明确,但具体落实到课堂教学中,往往出现对重点的知识没有重点的讲,或是误将仅仅是“难点”的知识当成了“重点”讲。这种失衡直接导致教学效率和学生的学习效率的下降。 三、对教学方法的反思
