1.大学生村官

“College Graduates Work as Village Officials”.

1). 现在许多大学毕业生愿意到农村当村官。

2). 分析形成这种现象的原因。

3). 你的看法。

In recent years being a village official has become the first choice of many college students when they graduate and are trying to find a job. According to a report carried by The Chinese Education Daily the number of students who apply for the post increases at the annual rate of 20 percent in recent five years, which well justifies the popularity of becoming a village official among college students.

Several factors may account for this popularity. First, it is the fierce competition of job market that forces the college graduates to consider other alternatives other than staying in the big cities as they used to. Secondly, to encourage well-educated young talents to work in the rural areas, the government authorities have made some policies offering major incentives to college graduates who are willing to work for rural governments at grassroots level, especially for village committees. For example, those who work for a rural committee for at least three years after graduation can get a 10-point credit in their exams to enter graduate schools. The preferential treatment is appealing to many students. Last but not least, many students consider working as a village official is a rewarding opportunity. It will acquaint themselves with the very society of our country as well as improve their adaptability to different circumstances, both of which are believed to be beneficial to their future career.

In my opinion, college students working as a village official is worth promoting. It is possible that some graduates may use the job as ―spring boards‖: only applying for it in order to receive the favorable treatment, but the majority of them genuinely hope to serve the rural areas and better the life of the villagers. With the participation of so many college graduates, we have reasons to believe that it will not take too long to realize the blueprint of Constructing New Village

2. 家长应该怎样帮助孩子变得独立?

How should parents help children to be independent?

1). 家长是否应该帮助孩子走向独立;

2). 有些家长替孩子包揽一切;

3). 为了帮孩子自立,家长应该…

(1)In our modern and contemporary society, whether parents should offer a helping hand to

making their children independence has become a hot button. In other words, we cannot afford to lose sight of the trend that the kids’ independence has become a social focus, which triggers wide concerns across the nation, especially the parents. This tide does exist in our society.

In our society, a sizable portion of parents, especially the young parents, spoil their kids from all aspects. Spefically speaking, they help their children pile and clear up their school bags, wash their clothes, even socks. Besides, they also talk to their children ―if only you succeed in your study, please leave anything to me‖.

This prevalent tide sparks our deep thought. From my viewpoint, in an effort to reverse and eliminate this unfavorable trend mentioned above, considering the seriousness of this headache, Parents are supposed to teach their kids how to cope with a variety of complex siuations. In addition, parents also should take every opportunity to equip themselves with advanced educative knowledge and keep pace with the times and communicate with other parents who enjoys a wealth of educative experiences. In a word, We all hope that these children have less reliance on their parents and become independent economically and mentally.

(2)It is nothing unusual to find overprotective parents who help their children in all aspects of

life. The question is, are they sure their heart loaded with love will bring good to their children? Let’s look at the real situation of the second-rich generation. Some of them, rather than becoming the second-strong generation, becomes the defeated generation which is notorious for their life focused on consumption rather than creation.

Because of the changes of education in history, most Chinese parents, though successfully accumulate wealth, don’t know much about the right val ue they should pass on to the new generation. They have tried all that they can to be good parents while neglecting the core value they should address, which is INDEPENDENCE.

How should parents help children to be independent?

They should give their children the freedom to make choices for themselves. Children cannot be happy if they don’t have control over their life, which in daily life, means they make choices for themselves, like, what to eat, what to wear, what career to do, what kind of spouse they are going to marry. Some parents may be open-minded enough to let their children to make these tiny decisions about food and clothes, but when it comes to the big ones, they are too anxious to let their children have a try. They used to be young and they made mistakes and now it is their sons and daughters’ turn to be young—the deep love and care is so intense that it becomes even suffocating--they are reluctant to give their children opportunities to start to be responsible for their own lives.

(3)Nowadays, there’s an increasing number of household in China that has an only one child.

Most of parents Love and care for children so much that children has less chances to deal with problems by themselves. Consequently, children get used to depending on their parents in everything and lack of ability to solve problems independently, which is bad for their growing. There are some effective ways for parents to help their children be independent. To start with,
