I first met Paul Newman in 1968, when George Roy Hill, the director of Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid, introduced us in New York City. When the studio didn’t want me for the film - it wanted somebody as well known as Paul - he stood up for me. 第三句:本句虽然未在题目中,形成得分点,但是,此句结构非常值得深刻剖析。本句中supported 后并列的是两个状语,一个是单独副词的形式,另一个是by + doing 的形式。

TCM falls far behind Western medicine owing partly to the slow development of Chinese herbs.
