LANs is a network that connects computers within a limited geographical area, usually within a single office or building to share the resources of a single processor or server. If a group of computers and associated devices that share a common communications line or wireless link This technology include most common type using direct cable do not require modems to connect through the telephone system. But the disadvantage is that can not cannot span large distances and only link computers within a single building or on one site

Wide area Network is cover large geographical areas，usually connects a number of LANs together people can use this technology to communicate across wide distances and uses the telephone lines to communicate through a modem In addition, WANs is run by several national or international organizations, unlike LANs and connected by the services of service provider.
