1、课程的性质和任务:大学英语课程是非英语专业必修的一门基础课程,旨在培养学生的综合应用能力,使他们在今后工作和社交中能用英语有效地进行书面信息交流,提高综合文化素养,以适应社会发展和经济建设的需要

2、课程的任务:经过两个学期的学习,使学生掌握一定的英语基础知识和技能,具有一定的听、说、读、写、译的能力,从而能借助词典翻译和阅读有关英语资料,使学生在今后的工作和社交中能用英语有效地进行口头和笔头交流。

课程教学大纲

课程性质:

这门课程是我院三年制非英语专业学生第一学年开设的公共英语课程,是一门必修课,是各专业开展专业英语教学的基础。

课程定位:

通过96学时的教学,扎实语音、语法、词汇和基本句型结构等语言基本功,强化并提高听说读写译的综合能力,提高学生就业竞争力。

课程目标:1、知识目标:1.掌握3400个英语单词及常用词组;

2.掌握基本语法。

3.掌握听力、口语交流的基本技巧以及应用文写作的格式和常用句型

技能目标:培养阅读能力和一定听说读写译的能力学生能够用英语交流信息

情感目标:掌握语言学习方法,培养自主学习能力、提升自身素质,加深内涵

教材与教学内容:《新编实用英语·第四版》系列教材是普通高等教育“十二五”国家级规划教材,遵循高职高专培养高等应用型人才的目标,通过96学时的学习,使学生掌握必需的、实用的英语语言知识和技能,使学生具有较强的阅读能力,一定的听、译能力和初步的

写、说能力以及翻译与其本专业有关的英文资料的初步能力。

教学内容:本课的教学内容为第六单元第四部分阅读训练,我们将围绕奥运和体育展开,以2008北京奥运徽章中国印舞动的北京为主线,多角度多元化地展现了这一场全民族的盛事。

教学模式:情景教学模式讲授+视听说模式

课程评价:

学习效果的考核:平时成绩40% 由出勤、课堂表现及课外自主学

习和作业构成

考试成绩60% 采用笔试闭卷形式,题型包括语

法和词汇结构、阅读理解、英译汉和写作

教学方法:

引导发现法:主要用于第一部分的talking face to face,

通过大脑风暴、连环设问等方式引导学生总结所学语句,

并组织对话

视听法:通过课本配套光盘、录音等多媒体资料在课堂中练习学生听力,每单元的听力部分主要以则会用这种方式组织教学

讲授法:直观地对知识开展讲解,在课堂教学中出现陌生语法点、生疏词汇、句型、文化背景常识等情况下进行补充性的讲解,主要用于情景交际法:通过文本、多媒体等方式为学生创设一个接近生活的情境,让学生在这样的情境中运用英语交流。课本中的situational dialogues通常是以这样的方式组织教学的。另外,还可以根据单元主题和课本内容,组织学生进行一些讨论。

任务教学法:教师根据所学内容,为学生布置一个融合单元知识点的“任务”,使每个学生参与其中,共同完成任务。

学情总结:学生基础比较薄弱,部分学生求知欲望还是比较强烈,但大部分学生有明显厌倦英语学习的情绪,鉴于这种情况,本校学生需要进一步激发学习兴趣,夯实基础知识,扩展知识储备,掌握科学有效的学习方法和策略,提高综合素质,适应市场需求。
