In my opinion, lucky money should be spent properly. As for me, I love reading. So I usually buy books with my lucky money. The books I bought have opened my mind and helped me understand the world better.

Everyone has his or her favorite teacher at school, and so do I. My favorite teacher, Miss Lu, is a 30-year-old young lady of medium height, with big eyes and long straight hair. She wears glasses and often gets dressed in different styles of clothes. And a big smile can be always found on her round face.
Maybe you’ll wonder why she is considered my favorite teacher. Well, as our English teacher, she does good job in her classes. I can easily understand everything she tells us and would like to finish each task she leaves us after class. Another example is that she’s so kind and friendly that she’s friends with each of her students. We (especially I) like to share everything about our pleasure or problems in our school life. Some even asks her to help with their family problems!
All in all, I love Miss Lu so much. Whenever I think of her, a strong feeling of joy can always fill my heart! （2015）As Mother’s Day was getting close, many children were thinking about what gift to get for their mothers, and so were Xiao Ming and Xiao Ling.
Xiao Ming asked his father for one hundred yuan and went to the flower shop for some nice flowers. He hoped his mother would feel satisfied when she saw them after a tiring working day. But differently thinking from Xiao Ming, Xiao Ling decided to do something meaningful instead of buying a usual gift. In the end she painted a nice picture by heart and wrote the following words on it: I LOVE YOU, MOM! Her mother got really moved when she received it.
As an old saying goes, “It is the thought that counts.” So I do agree with Xiao Ling, and I think I’d do the same as her next Mother’s Day.
