Please note: You only need to send in one application. In the event, you are not successful in Round 1, you are not eligible to apply for Round 2.

3.Notification of outcome / result

All applicants will receive an email within 5 days to confirm the initial decision, i.e., whether they have been rejected or if they have been shortlisted for consideration of the scholarship.

We will inform you by email if you have been successful in your application. Candidates applying by the first deadline will receive email notifications of whether they have been successful or not, by April 26th 2011 and those applying by the second deadline will receive email notifications by July 08th 2011.

If you have been awarded a scholarship, these e-mails will explain in detail, what you need to do as the next step and how to confirm acceptance of your scholarship. As such, please make it a point to check your mail regularly and follow instructions carefully on all such e-mails.

If you have received an acknowledgement from us, stating that we would contact you by a certain date, please wait patiently to hear from us, as we will definitely contact you by the mentioned date to inform you of the decision, regardless of the outcome.

All communication between the University and scholarship applicants is through e-mail. It is the applicant’s responsibility to ensure that the most up-to-date and accurate e-mail address is provided on the application form and to check his/her e-mail regularly and as such, it is hoped the applicant will do so diligently, so as to receive all relevant communication from the University in a timely manner.

Please note: No letters will be provided to successful candidates to confirm the award. Only e-mails will be sent to confirm the awarding of the scholarship.

4.Reserve list of candidates

It may so happen, during the scholarship process, that certain applications are shortlisted during a particular round, but may not have been awarded the scholarship in that round. These applications may be moved to a reserve list and will be considered at the end of the process.

As such, if you happen to be one of the candidates whose application has been moved to the Reserve list, you will receive

a separate mail confirming the same.

5.Scholarship letters

Please note, as part of the new student visa regulations, the University of Liverpool will not be sending out separate scholarship letters to the student.

You will be sent an e-mail to confirm the award of a scholarship and all information of any fee reductions will be recorded on your CAS statement, which is the preferred method of notification for the UK Border Agency.
