Flex offense：伸缩进攻战术。20世纪70年代流行的一种打法,讲究传球,掩护,反传的一种战术.对人盯人防守十分有效.得分通常是利用球员间内外线的伸缩切入切出,或者罚球区两个肘侧跳投完成.
Give-and-g 基本战术配合之一，进攻队员将球传给另队友--give，然后向篮下切入，再接队友的回传球上篮(或扣篮)得分--go 。

Shooting/not center principle：投篮/不中原则。场上用联防还是人盯人防守，完全靠场上球员自己判断。己方如果投中，对方就要用一定时间发出底线球，回防时就有足够时间布好联防。如果不中对方拿到篮板，就很可能是一个快攻，根本没时间从容布好联防，因此此时就用人盯人防守。
