不同点：（1）wish 后跟作宾语补足语，hope 无此用法。
I wish him to make progress．我希望他取得进步。
（2）hope 和wish 可跟that 从句，但hope + that 表示希望（可以实现）;wish + that 表示某种强烈而又难以实现的“愿望”，且从句动词用虚拟语气。
I wish I could fly like a bird．但愿我能象鸟一样飞。
（从句中的could 表示其动作不可能实现，不能用can。
）（3）在简略句中，如要表示希望某事不会发生时，应说I hope not，而不说I don"t hope so。
