教学目标一、认知目标
1.重点词汇和语言点。
2.理解文章大意，并完成所给任务。
二、能力目标：通过略读，猜测文章大意；通过精读，把
握文章框架结构并理解文章细节信息；通过教师对长
短句的分析，使学生理解并能灵活使用它们，提高思
维能力和运用英语的综合能力，激发创造能力。
三、情感目标：通过讨论吸烟问题，使学生认识到吸烟、
喝酒、不良饮食等对健康的危害，能够养成良好的生
活习惯及价值观，并学会帮助别人解决一些健康问题。
教学重点1.学会使用本课的重点单词及短语。
2.对全文大意作整体理解。
3.归纳各段大意及本文的中心思想。
教学难点1.了解吸烟的危害及其预防措施。
2.怎样成功地戒烟。

教学内容
本课是一封爷爷写给孙子的建议信，信中爷爷提到：他之所以能长寿和充满活力，主要得益于他健康的生活方式。爷爷年轻时也抽过烟，上过瘾，以亲身体会向孙子说明上瘾的原因，抽烟的危害和戒烟的方法，告诫孙子戒烟。
上瘾的原因：1.尼古丁的药物作用；2.习惯的驱动力量；
3.精神的依赖性。
抽烟的危害：1.伤害心脏和肺；2.不孕和影响婴儿健康；
3.影响他人健康；
4.味道难闻；
5.手指发黄；
6.跑步速度慢；
7.不喜欢运动。
戒烟的方法：1.制定计划；2.下定决心；3.破除旧习；4.学习
自我放松；5.必要时请求帮助；6. 坚持不懈。
教学设计理念
英语教学是一种动态教学，是师生彼此敞开心扉，相互接纳的对话过程。只有从组织教学活动入手，充分运用语言实践，才能有效地培养学生进行听说读写的交际能力。教师适时介入、引导、启发、组织、帮助和促进。新课标提出：“发展学生自主和合作学习的能力，培养学生综合语言运用能力，……”，结合本班学生的实际，我对教材进行操作性较强的处理。
学情分析
本班学生已经掌握了略读、跳读等一定的阅读技巧以及识别关键词、确定主题句，预测等能力，形成了初步的阅读策略。但仍有部分学生基础知识薄弱，主动学习英语的动力不够。我一方面夯实学生的英语知识；另一方面，适当增加一些知识性和趣味性的知识，激发学生兴趣。
教学方法
一、活动教学法：教师在课堂教学活动中，将活动作为教与学的中心单位以促进学习者用目的语言进行交际。活动的内涵为：“活”即活化，激活；“动”即行动。
二、任务型教学法：1.以任务为中心，而不是以操作语言形式为目的。2.任务的设计焦点是解决贴近学生生活的交际问题。
三、交际法：语言同交际始终紧密相联，语言功能首先是交际功能。
本课我将学生分成四个学习小组，让学生通过合作和探究来完成任务。
教学手段1.多媒体辅助：为学生运用英语创设情景。
2.非测试性评价：正确反映外语学习的本质和过程，满足
学生发展的需要，帮助学生自主学习，培养创新意识，具备科学的价值观。
课前准备
这堂课用的是多媒体教学，所以我提前布置了要讲的内容，还要求同学们上网查找吸烟的危害及戒烟的方法等有关信息。我课前作好Reading 所需的课件，一切准备就绪。

本节课我通过不同的任务设置，让学生在小组活动中通过合作和探究来完成各个任务，激发了学生的学习兴趣，培养了合作精神。1.本堂课是阅读课，教师引导学生学会思考、分析、发现以及表达，
真正发挥学生的主体作用和教师的主导作用。
2.这节课采用的是多媒体教学，能调动学生的积极性，同时也实现
了信息技术与英语学科内容的整合。
3.以任务型教学原则，围绕学习者“学”的角度精心设计。通过小
组讨论等培养学生探究能力。
4.不足之处：
A.课堂容量较大，没能为学生留出充足的发展空间。
B.学生的深层理解能力有待进一步提高。
C.学生英语语言层次较低，很难综合运用英语，今后我还得多
下功夫。
