As soon as I arrived in Hamburg, my local friend invited me to dinner in a restaurant. When I walked into the restaurant, I noticed that a young couple were having their meal at a table. A school district (学区) is trying something new. They are changing the amount of time their kindergarteners (幼儿园儿童) spend in school. Many kindergarten classes last only three and a half hours each day. This district is having their kindergarteners stay for five hours each day.
