活动名称My five senses

活动目标To review the vocabulary and sentence patterns. To practice their speaking and listening skills. Show the children the senses

活动准备Flash cards

活动过程1.warm up: Review the previous vocabulary and sentence patterns.

2.game”I love stars”Tape a big star on the floor by using a colorful

shining tape. Divide the children in two to three groups. Ask two to three ppl to stay in the middle of the star. When you do the gesture of

a flying bird,the children will quickly step on the flashcard of a flying

bird. To get the point for the team, the children will have to say the sentence correctly . When the whole class is familiar with the rhyme,get everybody stay in the star and sing the rhyme together. Of course, you can speed up the rhyme and step on the flashcards to keep the children moving.

活动名称 A big shock

活动目标To teach the children to identify items through the sense of touch.

To teach the children the function of our hands.

活动准备Flash cards , crayons or markers

活动过程Review the previous vocabulary and sentence patterns. Tell the children the story line of the pictures on P6 and P7 Put five stuffed animals in five cartons.

Draw five animals on five pieces of A4 drawing paper.

Fold and place the five pieces drawing paper in your hands.

活动名称Spot the noses

活动目标To improve the children’s observation skills

To help the children to rediscover their surroundings

活动准备Prepare a few blank sheets A pair of scissors

Some small magnets Crayons or markers

活动过程Game1: “Matching Game”

Draw four sets of four different animals on the blank sheets.

Cut all the animals out and stick a magnet on the back of the sheet. When it’s done,place a set of flashcards and ask the children “Are they the same?”The answer is :”yes, they are the same.”Place only one dog with a rabbit, ask the class again: “Are they the same “no, they are different.”Mix up all the animal cards and place them on the board. You could put either two dogs together as a pair or one dog or one rabbit as a group. If you put two dogs as a pair. Ask the children:”Are they the same ?The children answer :”Yes ,they are the same”If you place different animal flashcards on the board, the children will have different answer such as :” No, they are different.”

活动名称What makes a sound?

活动目标To understand that some objects can make sounds

Tell the differences of the sounds which can be made between each object 活动准备Flash cards

活动过程Bring some objects which can make different sounds to the class . make the sounds to the kids, and have the kids to listen carefully.

Divide all the kids into several groups, and give them some objects .such as: plastic hammer, drum, radio…Help the kids to play with the objects, and try to distinguish the differences between each sound.

Lead the SS to walk around in the school , and help the kids to find out the things which can make sounds . If the object can make sound ,then, T should ask the ss to learn the sound, and make the sound .

Help the kids to understand those different sounds mean different things. For example, the sound that the fire engine makes means there is fire. Help the kids to finish page 13. The best way to teach page 13 is help the kids to know the sounds by observing the real objects.

活动名称Your nose knows!

活动目标Show the children the function of the nose.

To match some similar fruit smells

To learn some expressions when the children smell something awful.

活动准备Prepare eight paper cups with lids

Bring four kinds of fruit such as banana, pineapple orange and strawberry.

Bring a toothpick

活动过程Game1:” smell ,smell, smell !”

Have a chat with the children about some common things that smell either good or bad.

Tell the children the things that they are going to smell will be fruit. Don’t tell the children the exact fruit that you have put it in the paper cups.

Use a toothpick to poke some small holes in the lids of each paper cup. Place each type of fruit in two cups.

Ask the children to place the similar smelling cups together by using his/her own nose. The cups that smell alike should be placed in pairs. For example :If they smell a strawberry cup, they have to find another strawberry cup to match it .
