With the development of technology, new inventions are coming out all the time and changing your daily life. Audiobooks are just one new creation, Listening to audiobooks is a new way to "read". You can just open an app on your phone and choose a book you like. You can listen to someone reading a book to you no matter where you are.
Audiobooks are becoming increasingly popular. They do have many advantages over paper books or e-books. The most important factor is their convenience. Just imagine being able to read thousands of books with just your smartphone! Having to carry heavy books to read has become a thing of the past. I is also better for your eyes, since you don't have to focus on reading a page.
However, there are also some disadvantages of listening to audiobooks. They leave less room for people to think. When people read paper books or e-books, they can stop to think any time they want to. They might show their feelings through the way they narrate the books. They might influence the way you feel about the books which you're listening to.
I still prefer to read paper books. I believe the spirit a book carries is much more important than the story itself. Paper books can show me the spirit of a book more vividly, since I can see and feel it with my hands. However, I hope audiobooks will continue to develop and improve.
