一、高一英语学习要掌握三个方面
升入高一后，对于英语的学习更加不能放松，高一英语在整个高中英语学习中有着举足轻重的地位。它具有承上启下的作用，既巩固复习了初中英语所学内容，也为接下来得高二高三英语打下坚实的基础。中学英语课的教学目的之一就是培养学生的自学能力。外语课具有很强的实践性，学习外语不能仅靠听懂老师讲解的语言规则和难点，必须要靠大量的、反复的听、说、读、写练习，要通过亲身实践，逐步学会使用语言。要想学好高一英语，过好“三关”很重要，听力关，单词关，背诵关。
第一关：听力关
高一同学来自不同的初中，由于各方面的条件限制，很多同学语音、语调很差，音标也不过关。鉴于这种情况，高一学生刚开学必须先正音。正音的最好办法就是坚持听录音，过好听力关，每天早晨的朗读时间有目的地定时定量听，下午活动时间学生自戴耳机随意听，这样日复一日，学生的语音、语调慢慢地就会有所改善，同时也训练了听力，增强了语感，对于其他方面的学习也有百利而无一害。
第二关：单词关
高中英语的词汇量与初中英语的词汇量相比增加了许多，所学的单词也几乎全部都是极为常见和常用的单词，对于它们就是要做到一个“背”字，要背得滚瓜烂熟，不仅要见英语知汉语，还要见汉语说英语，也
就是过好单词关。如何过好这一关呢?在每一学期开始，花上一周左右的时间，以半学期的单词量为单位学单词，每天记一单元，一周后进行专门的单词测试，这样就给同学们预习课文扫清了单词障碍。在接下来上课文的过程中，重点就放在了词的理解和应用上了，同时也起到了对单词的复习作用。为了确保单词记得牢，每次月考、期中、期末考试前，要把所学的单词再抽出来进行复习测试，这样就确保过好了单词关。只要记住了单词，无疑对学生的课文理解、阅读、写作都有了极大的促进作用，也能起到事半功倍的效果。所以过好单词关是必要的。
第三关：背诵关
关许多同学对“勤朗读多背诵”不以为然，只是翻翻课文、动手写写、眼睛看看，嘴巴根本不用，更不用说是“背诵”。这是一种十分错误的做法，从学生到我自己的亲身体会，勤朗读尤其是背诵是使我们受益的一大法宝，所以高一学生必须过好“背诵”关。首先，对于教科书的每一篇文章都要求背诵，俗话说“书读百遍，其义自见”，更不用说是背诵了。但这种背诵并不仅仅以背诵为目的，而是要通过背诵熟悉单词及其用法，体会英语的语气、语境，增强语感，同时在这个自己所营造的小小的“英语天地”里锻炼着听力、练习着口语，每天所需的时间并不是很多，半个小时左右足够了，只要天天坚持，把零星的时间充分利用在英语的朗读背诵上，效果就会明显地体现出来，也只有这样，才有可能做到出口成章，给写作积累下更多的素材。
二、把英语作为一门语言来学
英语是一种语言，不是记住了单词、组词、句型和语法项目就是把它学好了，关键在于使用语言，所以学习英语时一定要注意听、说、读、写、译全面发展。
首先，不要当成学英语，要当成操练英语。学习英语应该了解语言知识，但不下苦功在听、说、读、写上练习，仅靠死记硬背一些孤立的单词、一些语法条条，是很难掌握英语的。学习英语既然是练功夫的过程，就并不是那么轻松。要不怕困难，持之以恒。要记住，应该是learningenglish而不是learningaboutenglish。这就像学游泳、跳芭蕾舞一样，对其理论掌握再好，不通过反复训练是永远也学不会的。
其次，学语言的顺序应是听、说、写。
语音是学习英语的第一关。要注意训练自己听音、辩音和模仿的能力。课堂上，专心听老师的发音和磁带上的录音，争取当堂学会。对于那些比较拗口的单词、短语或句子，课下一定要挤时间反复模仿，直到读准、读熟为止。平时要多开口，经常大声朗读和对话。
再次，要训练自己的英语思维。英语和汉语是两种不同的语言系统。如英语语音中的短元音、辅音连缀，以摩擦音、破擦音收尾音节等在汉语中都没有。英语有形态变化，如名词复数变化、动词时态变化等，而汉语基本上没有。英语语法和句子结构同汉语也存在着一些差异。中学生的汉语习惯已相当牢固，对英语学习有一定的干扰作用。要学好英语，就要注意英语和汉语的区别。一旦通过大量的阅读，养成用
英语思维的习惯，并产生英语语感，就会逐步减少犯“中国式英语”的错误的机会。这就要求我们要在掌握听说读写时，还要学会用英语的思维方式。平时要常问问自己：这层意思或这个事物用英语该怎么表达?在这种场合或情景下，&ldqu
