除去直射太阳辐照的贡献外，来自整个天空，照射到单位面积上的辐射功率。
太阳常数solar constant
在地球的大气层外，太阳在单位时间内投射到距太阳平均日地距离处垂直于射线方向的单位面积上的全部辐射能，称为太阳常数，常用毫瓦/厘米2或瓦/米2来表示。
环境温度ambient temperature
是光伏发电器周围空气的温度。在一个通风而能避开阳光，天空和地面辐射的箱体内测量。
电池额定工作温度nominal operating cell temperature
系指在辐照度为800Wm-2、环境气温20℃，风速Lms-1，电气开路在中午时太阳光垂直照射于敞开安装的框架，这个标准参考环境中，组件内太阳电池的平均平衡温度。

使受光照的电池工作在最大功率点的负载，称为最佳负载。
最佳工作电压optimum operating voltage
受光照的电池在伏---安特性曲线上最大功率点所对应的电压称为最佳工作电压，通常用Vm表示。
最佳工作电流optimum operating current
受光照的电池在伏——安特性曲线上最大功率点所对应的电流，称为最佳工作电流，通常用Im。
转换效率conversion efficiency
在规定的测试条件下，最大输出电功率与辐照度，太阳电池面积的比值，以百分比表示。
最大功率maximum power
在电流——电压特性上，电流电压乘积取最大值处的功率
方阵场array field
在某个指定系统内发电的全部太阳电池方阵的总和。
