Hello, everyone! I’m glad to be here to talk about some differences between
the English students and the Chinese students. In England, students usually take
the school bus or ride bikes to school. After school, they often clean up the garden and look after the pets. What’s more, they have to make pocket money by working
in their free time. However, in China, students often go to school in their parents’cars. They spend most of their time on study after school and hardly do chores at

Dear Editor,
I am writing to tell you about the survey I’ve made on “Using paper cards or e-cards?” in our class.
About 30% of the students want to use the paper card. Firstly, people can make
them by themselves and they can show people’s real feelings. Secondly, people can take them everywhere they go and keep them for a long time. Thirdly, people don’t have to read them through computers.
However, about 70% of the students prefer to use e-cards. E-cards can carry
much i nformation and people can send them quickly. Besides, using e-cards can save paper so that the environment can be protected well. What’s more, people can make different kinds of designs that they like.
As for me, I like to use both of the two kinds, because when I am free, I can

given much love. We are not able to do hard work. To look after the patients is

Great changes haven taken place in our studies since our school began to carry on exploring learning strategies. In the past, teachers kept on explaining the
language points in class. We students just listened and took some notes. So we
didn’t have enough time to think about problems by ourselves. We had to do much homework after class.
But now teachers show the problems to us first, then we discuss them for a while in pairs or groups. We try to find out the ways of solving problems, through which we’ve learnt how to cooperate with others. After class, we can have different

Last week our class had a discussion on whether it is OK to tell white lies.

At present, a number of middle school students have picked up a bad habit—cheating in exams.
