Computers work wonders
Nowadays, computers have been widely used in all walks of life. Clothes designers use computers to design fashionable clothes, bosses use computers to manage company and students use computers to search information related to their expertise. There are also professional software companies which produce various of softwares in order to satisfy all kinds of requirements. Most people believe that it is incredible for people to live in a world without computers.
First of all, there is no doubt that computers bring us convenience in every field. Computers can take many boring and dangerous jobs which have to be done by people in person in the past. Such as sending information and doing data statistic works. It is quite inefficient and time-consuming for people to send information by horse, and statistic works need a huge amount of computing leading to the waste of labor. When computers were invented, everything had changed. Information can be sent through e-mails only coasting you a few seconds. Professional database system have been made so that statistic works could be processed much easier. People have been liberated from cumbersome boring works and have more time in doing creative work.
Secondly, computers have the advantage over people in stability since it can work tirelessly 24 hours a day. Some industries, such as state grid and bank, in which the stability is very essential, their working systems rely on on control of computers so that staff could meet people’s needs at any time.
Thirdly, it is feasible for people to find out almost everything they want to know on computers as a result of more and more computers connected to the internet which provides huge amounts of information in every field. One can search information related to expertise, get the latest news around the world and download materials he/she needs etc.
In a word, computers make our life much easier. Without computers,our life probably get into trouble: stock markets will crash and all commercial activities have to stop. City manage system can not be used so that whole city runs out of order .what is more, the weapon system of army might be out of control, leading to a catastrophic
outcome.
The fight against air pollution
With the rapid development of the economy, more environmental problems emerged. It is very common in some regions, especially those with high moisture, where the sky has been seriously polluted by harmful smog.
Then who are responsible for this phenomenon? In some urban areas of the city, There are high density of population and complex structure of building, which impede the flow of air, causing the aggregation of suspended particles and grains in sky. This is the main of smog. The next reason resulting in the formation of smog is the emission of carbon dioxide. On one hand, factories located in suburban areas emit excessive carbon dioxide. The manufacturers spare no efforts to pursue the commercial profits, taking no concern about the environment pollution. On the other hand, a huge amount of carbon dioxide has been discharged as a result of heating houses in a bleak harsh winter in northern areas. Furthermore, the self-regulating capacity of natural environment is not equivalent to the speed of carbon dioxide emission. Last but not least, the increasing numbers of private cars not only results in the traffic congestion, but also should be responsible for smog weather. The automobile exhaust seems to be excessive in recently years, to some extent , leading to harmful smog.
Considering the deterioration of harmful smog, some measures should be taken to restrict current situation. The most important thing we should do is to lower the dense population in downtown area. In order to encourage inhabitants migrating to suburb, it is a feasible idea to build perfect supporting infrastructure there. At the same time, inspiring the environmental sense of residents is also crucial. What is more, the government should pass related laws to confine the excessive emission of carbon dioxide and encourage environment-friendly factories. Making sure there are all legitimate producers. The next solution is to reduce the high frequency of using private cars by develop public transportation and increase the price of gasoline.
In my perspective, the linchpin to reduce smog depends on the sense of
environment of city dwellers. Only relying on the power of public can we resolve the problem of air pollution from the root.
The life of Charlie Chaplin
Charlie Chaplin, known as one of the greatest comedy artist in the world,was born on April 16, 1889 in London. His father and mother were both entertainers, although not the big names, they were doing well and provided Charlie with an affluent living. Unfortunately happy time did last long. The alcoholism of Charlie’father destroyed the happy life and finally ended in a divorce. Since then, Charlie Chaplin began to live in poverty. However, Charlie who possess a indomitable will, could not be defeated by the hardship easily.
Charlie had always believed, even in the worst times, that had something special locked away inside him. He took his courage and went to visit one of the top theatrical agents. With no performance experience at all, He was being offered a plum part in the play’Sherlock Holmes’,which proved to be the turning point in his life. In 1910,with the great ambition of starting formal acting career, Charlie Chaplin settled in the US where people known him as a famous pantomime artists.
Cinema was born in the same year as Charlie’s. At that time,it is a common sense that this new technology was a passing fad, and would never replace the live performance. After careful observation for several weeks, Charlie determined to master this new medium. This decision offered him endless fame and wealth in the future.

And now it was 1945, after the world II, America had become affected by a kind of madness, an obsessive fear and hatred of Communism. Charlie became the victim of this persecution. The US Attorney General had forbidden Chaplin re-entry to the United States. He was an exile.In 1953, Charlie with his family settled in Switzerland.After a life of incredibly hard work, of great triumphs and great sorrows
and trials, Charlie seemed to should have a rest. On Christmas, 1977, died in his sleep with peace and quiet. He was 88 years old.

What is more,the attitude of parents should also take into account, a lot of parents compared their child with other students, hoping their child would do much better than others. Considering the Americans, they do not have much stress in living because of sophisticated welfare system.parents do not interfere with their child’s choice since they grow up and become more independent.
In my perspective, the reason that Chinese students are doing far better than American students in studies depends on many aspects, including the gap in living standards, the variety in traditional conceptions and the difficulty in employment prospects.
Why people attend college
Nowadays, all students after graduating from senior high school would face a choice of whether going to the college to get a further education or finding a job. However most students will attend a college, not only for broadening horizon but also for achieving the goal to be competitive for obtaining a good job.
As we all known, the knowledge that we have been taught in high school were
relatively simple and foundational. The teachers can not give us more details about the knowledge because of the lack of time. It means the students have a limited opportunity to specialize. After attending the college, the students have the chance to choose a specific field which he interested in. For instance, if a student has a dream to become a physicist, he can major in physics. The course will include all kinds of expertise such as optics, electricity, magnetism and so on. One can develope his interest in any aspects.
