Wudang mountain covers an area of more than200square kilometers,it’s the birthplace of Wudang martial art which is one of the important branch of Chinese Kongfu. As a well-known Taoism Mountain,Wudang Mountain is an important part of Taoism.Taoism has more than4,000 years history and it’s the only traditional local religion which was found by Chinese. It is the composite of deity worship, traditional thought, ideas of Yin and Yang. And the main purpose of Taoism is to be immortal, and help people.During Han dynasty, the Wudang Mountain became the central of Taoism. Then in Ming dynasty,Wudang Mountain was regarded as the royal palace and it has a very high status,as the saying:we are building the Forbidden City in the north while redecorating Wudang Mountain in the south.

Now we are at visitors’center.Let’s take the tour bus to start our journey and enjoy the beautiful natural scenery and rich culture of Taoism.

The first stop is Taizipo and you can call it Prince Edward Slope. The another name for Taizipo is Fuzhen Taoism Temple. It was built in Ming dynasty in1412,and reshaped in Qing dynasty in 1683.There are20buildings in Taizipo, covers area of60square kilometers, and these ancient buildings are kept fairly unchanged.

Inside Zixiao Hall, hundreds of cultural relics made up from copper and plated gold are displaying around. When we enter the Zixiao Hall,we need to follow the Taoism rules and discipline ourselves. There are five Taoism specialities which are Shan,Yi,Min,Xiang,Bu.Shan means to be a good person with perfect personality by meditation and cultivation.Yi means to keep healthy by using acupuncture and chanting.Min means to promote human development by using Taoist magic art.Xiang means to seek for a friendly settlement and avoid disaster by observing what you see.Bu means to predict and deal with things by divination. Please enjoy your time and look around for20minutes,then we are going to the next stop.

Walking along the ancient footpath of Ming dynasty,we are reaching the Jinding where located in the Tianzhu Peak. It’s the biggest copper and gilding hall in China which was built in

Ming dynasty. The altitude of Tianzhu Peak is1,612meters,and it is the main peak of Wudang Mountain. The Tianzhu peak is the highest location of Wudang Mountain, only when you reach here can you feel the charm of Wudang Mountain.
