对城市总体规划中交通规划的认识及思考摘要：对城市而言，交通设施与城市的关系先后经历了被动适应、相互协调和主动引导三个阶段，交通在区域发展及城市发展中的地位越来越重要。城市规划作为重要的法定规划，是下层次分区规划及交通专项规划的主要依据，在设施布局、等级级配等方面有重要的保障作用，对后期的市域及中心区综合交通规划、专项规划等有重要的指导意义，地位十分重要。
目前我国很大一部分城市规划中交通部分没有达到城市规划编制办法要求，不能具体指导城市规划建设。本文将对上述问题做专项分析，总结常见问题及原因，并提出解决对策。本文重点研究市域交通规划存在的问题，并提出相应对策。
