一.概述

清华大学英语水平考试(I)是对清华大学英语基础阶段学习(本科生)的要求和目标管理模式。学生经过大学英语综合课程的学习应在听、说、读、写、译方面达到本考试大纲所规定的要求。

(1)考试的组成

清华大学英语水平考试(I)由笔试和口试两部分组成。笔试包括听力、阅读、语法词汇和写作。口试在笔试通过的基础上单独进行。

二. 细则

Section I. 听力

1.选材原则:

a. 对话部分为交际场合中的一段对话

b. 篇章听力材料为题材熟悉的讲话、叙述、解说等,包括科技、社会、文

化等方面,但其所涉及的背景知识应为学生所理解。文章中不应有纲外词。

2.组成:样式之一

3.长度:5段简短对话。3篇长度大约在180-220词左右的文章

10.出题方法:这一部分由Part One ,Part Two, Part Three及Part Four四部分组

成,目的是测试学生获取口头信息的能力。其中Part One及Part Two两部分为每次考试必考项目,Part Three, Part Four部分包括几种题型,每次考试从中选取一种。Part One, Part Two部分念一遍,Part Three, Part Four部分念两遍。Part Three, Part Four 出题形式可为以下一种:

a. 在文中空白处写出5个关键词或5个短语。

b. 根据文章内容,完成5个句子。

c. 根据文章内容,用中文写出其概要。

12.试题组成说明:

a. 第一部分为多项选择题,共10题,每题1分;

b. 第二部分为简答题或句子填空题,共10题,每题1分;

c. 第三部分为英译汉,共5题,每题2分。5句英语句子应合计为100个

英文单词左右,即平均译速为每分钟5个英语单词。共需约20分钟。

2.试题内容说明:

本部分由三部分组成。

Part 1为句子理解和词语用法,共20题,其中一部分为填空题,要求学生根据句意、词义、词的用法,从每题四个选项中选出一个最佳答案填入空格,使句子意思完整。另外10题为寻找同义词。每个句子中有一个划线的词或词组,要求考生从四个选项中找出与划线的词或词组意思最相近的词或词组。

Part 2为改错,共5题,每题有一项语法错误或语言运用错误,要求学生在原句中划出错误并将正确答案写在给出的箭头后面。

Part 3为完形填空,共5题。给出一篇200 –250 词的短文,其中有5个空格。考生需根据上下文的意思填入一个单词,使句子和篇章的意思完整。

10.出题方法:

Part 1多项选择:主要考察词汇用法、搭配,同义词辨析,形近义异词区别等。所考词汇或词组均为大纲规定需要掌握的词或词组。选项内的词不超纲。题干内超纲的生词加中文注释。

Part 2改错部分:主要涉及各类常见的语法错误或用词错误。

Part 3完形填空:完形填空题第一句不留空。(1) 可能考固定搭配(在动词短语、介词或介词短语、形容词与介词的搭配、名词与介词的搭配、动词与名词的搭配等中空出一个词)与语境(根据上下文所设定的语意环境空

出一个词,个别题的答案可以就是上下文中的某个词)。(2) 也可能从第二句开始,每n个单词留一空(n = (文章总字数–第一句字数) ÷ 11),如果空出的单词确实难填,会前后稍作调整。

Section IV.写作

1.目的:评估学生在写作过程中体现的产出能力或对语言知识运用的交际能力。

2.题材:为人文社科,高等教育,科普常识等考生所熟悉的主题,避免偏重某一专业的主题。

3.体裁:说明文、议论文或夹叙夹议文或应用文。

4.内容:写作测试的目的是评估学生的写作运用能力,因而其测试内容不会给学生造成任何因不熟悉等因素所带来的负面影响。

5.形式:采用给出题目或主题的形式,但每一次的出题方式有所不同,以防考生局限于掌握单一的写作形式。鉴于评估对象是具有一定大学英语水平的大学生,考试题型为体现对英语运用较高层次的形式如说明文或议论文,或应用文如书信等。具体出题方式包括:给出具体的题目、情景、图片、表格或短文提示等。

6.时间:30分钟。

7.字数:不少于150字。

8.评分标准:评估按等级给出总分,具体标准如下:

VI.口语

本口试分两节考查考生的口语交际能力,考试时间约6分钟。

每次口试采取口试教师和两名考生的形式。口试教师不参与交谈,只主持口试并评分。

考试步骤

评分标准

A: 13-15说话速度正常,语法错误很少,用词广泛,语调自然,发音准确,交流自然、流利。

B: 10-12 说话稍有停顿,基本句型表达准确,难句表达缺乏准确,词汇量充足,语调较为自然,发音较为准确,带有母语口音,但可以

接受,交流没有障碍。

C: 9(及格)说话有些停顿,基本句型比较准确,有一些语法错误,词汇量勉强够用,语调不自然,发音带有明显的地方口音,但基本上可

以听懂,交流基本没有障碍。

D: 8分以下说话经常停顿,严重的语法错误导致表达困难,词汇量十分有限,语音、语调很差以致交流困难。

Part One Multiple -Choice Questions (10 points)

Directions: Read the following two passages and choose the best

answer from among A, B, C, and D. Mark the corresponding letter in

Passage 1

The majority of successful senior managers do not closely follow the classical rational model of first clarifying goals, assessing the problem, formulating options, estimating likelihoods of success, making a decision and only then taking action to implement the decision in their day-by-day tactical maneuvers (战术策略). These senior executives rely on what is vaguely termed ―intuition‖ to manage a network of interrelated problems that require them to deal with ambiguity, inconsistency, novelty, and surprise; and to integrate action into the process of thinking.

Generations of writers on management have recognized that some practicing managers rely heavily on intuition. In general, however, such writers display a poor grasp of what intuition is. Some see it as the opposite of rationality; others view it as an excuse for inconsistency.

Isenberg‘s recent research on the cognitive processes of senior managers reveals that managers‘ intuition is neither of these. Rather, senior managers use intuition in at least five distinct ways. First, they intuitively sense when a problem exists. Second, managers rely on intuition to perform well-learned behavior patterns rapidly. This intuition is not arbitrary or irrational, but is based on years of painstaking practice and hands-on experience that build skills. A third function of intuition is to synthesize isolated bits of data and practice into an integrated picture, often in an ―Aha!‖ experience. Fourth, some managers use intuition as a check on the results of more rational analysis. Most senior executives are familiar with the formal decision analysis models and tools, and those who use such systematic methods for reaching decisions are occasionally suspicious of solutions suggested by these methods which run counter to their sense of the correct course of action. Finally, managers can use intuition to bypass in-depth analysis and move rapidly to engender (产生) a plausible solution. Used in this way, intuition is an almost instantaneous cognitive process in which a manager recognizes familiar patterns.

One of the implications of the intuitive style of executive management is that ―thinking‖ is inseparable from acting. Since managers often ―know‖ what is right before they can analyze and explain it, they frequently act first and explain later. Analysis is inseparable tied to action in thinking/acting cycles, in which managers develop thoughts about their companies and organizations not by analyzing a problematic situation and then acting, but by acting and analyzing in close concert

(谐调).

Given the great uncertainty of many of the management issues that they face, senior managers often start a course of action simply to learn more about an issue. They then use the results of the action to develop more complete understanding of the issue. One implication of thinking/acting cycles is that action is often part of defining the problem, not just of implementing the solution.
