Located in the New Material Industry Park of Ningxia High-Tech Development Zone, Ningxia Xingri Electronics Co., Ltd (hereinafter called as NXRE) is one of the State Key High-Tech Enterprises approved by the Science and Technology Ministry of China, combining production, sale and development of tantalum and aluminum electrolytic capacitors. 固体钽电解电容器是1956年由美国贝尔试验室首先研制成功的, 它的性能优异,是所有电容器中体积小而又能达到较大电容量的产品。钽电解电容器外形多种多样,并容易制成适于表面贴装的小型和片型元件,适应了目前电子技术自动化和小型化发展的需要。虽然钽原料稀缺,钽电解电容器价格较昂贵,但由于大量采用高比容钽粉(50K-150kμF.V/g),加上对电容器制造工艺的改进和完善,钽电解电容器还是得到了迅速的发展,使用范围日益广泛。钽电解电容器不仅在军事通讯、航天等领域广泛使用,而且还在工业控制、数字化音频及影视设备、仪器仪表等产品中大量使用。

目前生产的钽电解电容器主要有烧结型固体、箔形卷绕固体、烧结型液体三种,其中烧结型固体约占生产总量的95%以上,小型片式钽电解电容器已成为市场主流品种。

固体钽电解电容器电气性能优良,频率特性好,工作温度范围宽,可靠性高,而且封装形式多样,容积效率高,具有如下特征:

●钽电解电容器的介电质是在钽阳极体表面生成一层极薄的五氧化二钽膜,介电常数,比容量非常高,适宜小型化。

●钽电解电容器在工作过程中,具有自动修补或隔绝氧化膜疵点的能力,这种独特的自愈性能,使介质氧化膜随时得到加固和恢复其应有的绝缘能力,而不致遭到连续的累积性破坏,保证了其长寿命和高可靠的优势。

●钽电解电容器工作电场强度高于其它类型电容器。

●钽电解电容器具有高电容量,在电源滤波、交流旁路等应用上少有竞争对手。

●具有单向导电性,即有“极性”,应用时应按电源的正、负方向正确连接,电容器的阳极(正极)接电源“+”极,阴极(负极)接电源的“—”极,如果接错,电容器漏电流就会增大,短时间内阳极芯子就会发热,击穿介电质,随即失效。 ●工作电压有上限值,但如果与晶体管、集成电路或电源配合使用,这一点微不足道。

一般认为电解电容器是一种性能优良,使用寿命长的电子元件,它的失效率正常时可达七级,但它总还是符合电子元器件的失效普遍规律,即澡盆形失效曲线,其前期失效可通过生产过程中老炼技术剔除,因此只有随机失效的可能性。而这种失效即有制造材料本身的缺陷,也有制造工艺控制问题,还常常伴随产品在使用过程的不当或超载所致,综合说来大约有三种失效模式即电流型、电压型和发热型。

钽电解电容器具有贮存电荷、进行充放电等性能,主要应用于滤波、旁路、耦合与退耦以及作时间常数元件等。在应用中注意其性能特点,正确使用会有助于充分发挥其功能,其中诸如考虑产品工作环境及其发热温度,采取降额使用等措施,如果使用不当会影响产品的工作寿命。

Solid tantalum electrolytic capacitors first developed successfully at Bell Laboratory,USA in 1956,feature excellent performances,higher capacitance and small size compared with other types of capacitors.Tantalum capacitor is encapsulated in various forms, miniature tantalum chip capacitors are easily fabriated to suit surface mounting applications and meet the demands of development of current electronic automated mounting technology and miniaturization Although lack of tantalum raw materials, tantalum capacitors are more expensive than other dielectrics, but are widely used in more applications and have grown with big strides based on using high capacitance tantalum powder(50K-100KμF.V/g) and continuous improvement of manufacture technology. Tantalum capacitors are widely used not for telecommunication ,aerospace and military applications ,but also for industrial controls digital audio/video equipment instruments and meters.

Tantalum electrolytic capacitors are now available with main three categories of the sintered solid electrolyte, foil wounded solid electrolyte, and sintered wet electrolyte. Among them, the sintered solid capacitors accounts for over 95% of the total production, miniature tantalum chip capacitors are playing a dominant role in the markets.

Solid tantalum capacitors have advantages of excellent electrical performance,wide working temperature range,good volume efficiency and various encapsulation forms,uniquely characterized in:

●Thin tantalum oxide(Ta O) film forms over all the tantalum surfaces, serving as working dielectric of tantalum

capacitors;

●The dielectric film has high dielectric constant, “large volume capacitance per unit or specific capacitance, suitable for miniaturization;

●During the operation, tantalum electrolytic capacitors feature self-healing and blocking defects of the tantalum oxide film,strengthening dielectric at any time,recovering thecapability of insulation and preventing from continuougsaccumulative breakdown,The unique performance of self-healing assures its long life and high reliability;.

●Tantalum electrolytic capacitors have high electric field strength compared with any other type of capacitor;

●Tantalum Electrolytic Capacitors have higher capacitance, used for applcations in pow iltering,bypassing,coupling,etc, no competitive counterpart;

●Tantalum electrolytic capacitors have unilateral conductivity or polarity.When using,tantalum capacitor is connected according to "plus and minus"terminals of power supply correspondingly.Wrong connection result in increasing DC leakage thereby heating up in the anode in a short time,breaking down of the dielectric,at the meantime,the capacitor became defected part

●There is an upper limit for working voltage,but it is negligible when using the capacitors together with transistors,rintegrated electric circuit or, power supply.

Eectrolytic capacitor is usually regarded as a kind of electronic component with excellent performance and long working life, its failure rate under normal condition can be up to VII Grade,but still conform to common failure pattern of electronic components that is bathtub-shape failure curve. Failure parts at earlier stage can be eliminated during aging,thus only accidental failure is possible. The failure may result from both defects of raw materials and prolems on process control or improper use or overload of the capacits .peaking,,there are three failure modes:electric current, electric voltage and heating-up modes.

Tantalum electrolytic capacitors also feature storing electric charge charging and discharging etc, mainly used for filtering, storing electricenergy and conversion,siganal bypassing,coupling anddecoupling also used as a time-constant component, etc. The user should pay attention to its performances and use themproperly,thus the functions can be brought into full use When using,.the user should give consideration to such factors as working environmint,heationg temperature and adopt such measures as working environment heating temperature and adopt such measuresn as sing by voltage derating,moreover improper use may have influence on working life of the capacitors..

1.6 可靠性

钽电容器的失效率受使用条件(环境温度、施加电压、

电路电阻、使用电路等)的影响,所以请充分考虑使用条件

后,选择适当产品。

● 落下或曾安装过一次的电容器请匆再次使用。

● 安装后,请匆对电容器进行加工处理或弯折端子等。

● 在测量、使用过程中,请注意避免用手直接接触电容器的引线(包括片式钽电容器引出端),以免受汗渍、油渍等污染而降低可焊性。

2.2 电路板清洗

请务必除去焊接使用的焊剂及酸、碱,用超声波或汽相清洗5分钟,浸洗温度不超过50℃。请注意,在超声波清洗时,有时会引起端子折断。

2.3 焊接

2.3.1 烙铁焊接

使用烙铁(30W以下)时,烙铁尖的温度不超过350℃,焊接时间应不超过4秒,并注意烙铁尖不要碰到电容器基体。

2.3.2 贴片产品焊接

贴片钽电容器无论采用波峰焊和回流焊,都不能使用

高活性、强酸性助焊剂,以免因清洗不彻底而产生渗透、腐蚀和扩散,导致可靠性降低。

● 电容器经受的温度会随电路板类型、尺寸、电容器安装密 度等不同条件而变化,所以要充分考虑各种因素。

● 贴片电容器可使用波峰焊和回流焊两种方法,焊接条件

如下。

a. 波峰焊法(焊槽浸渍法)

用粘接剂将电容器固定在电路板上,直接浸入焊锡槽中。

注意事项

● 如安装元件过密,可焊性会降低,故请注意脱气。

● 在160℃最高温下预热2分钟,请焊接后冷却。

Notices:

● When parts mounting density is high,solderabiliity may be decreased.Take notice to degas.

● Perform pre-heat at 160℃max.within 2minutes,Cool after soldering.

2.2 Circuit Board Cleaning

Surely remove flux used in soldering and wash away

acid and alkali . In cleaning , perform within 5 minutes

of ultrasonic , vapor and dipping washing at not more

than 50℃. In some ultrasonic cleaning conditions , the terminals may be broken .

2.3 Soldering

2.3.1 In case of soldering by soldering iron

In using the soldering iron (30 w or under ), solder at the

iron tip temperature not more than 350℃within 4 seconds . Do not touch the iron tip to the body of capacitor .

2.3.2 In case of chip type soldering

Flow method or reflow method whichever is applied

for chip type capacitors , high-activated flux with

strong acid will not be used to prevent permeation , corrosion and diffusinon from incomplete cleaning , thereby resulting in decreasing reliability .

A.Flow method(solder bath dipping method)

Parts fixed to the board with adhesive ,and directly dipped

into the solder bath .

3 使用

电容器请勿在以下环境中使用:

● 电容器直接接触水、盐水、油等环境。

● 电容器暴露于阳光直射的环境。

● 电容器表面易结露的高温、高湿环境。

● 电容器接触各种活性气体的环境。

● 有酸、碱气氛的环境。

● 有高频感应的环境。

● 有剧烈振动或冲击的环境。

3.1使用环境和条件

When testing the capacitor terminals with the tester , etc. , check on potential and polarity of the tester beforehand . If reverse voltage is applied to the capacitor , short circuit may occur .When testing by touching the electrodes during turing ON , do not touch terminals of

other parts or do not bend the capacitor terminals 3.2 Maintenance/Inspection When bad smell or smoke are generated during turning ON power supply , immediately turn OFF power supply ,and when burning, do not let face and hands come near the equipment . If the capacitor is short-circuit ,

the armor resin may emit smoke or tantalum element

may burn .3.3 Emergency Procedures 用测试仪检测电容器端子时,请事先确认测试仪的电和极性,如果对电容器施加反向电压,会引起短路,通电测

试时,只接触电极,请勿接触其它元件的端子,或者勿使电

容器端子弯曲。位

3.2 维护/检查

原则上,钽电容器自生产之日起贮存期为10年(可焊性除

外,CA30等半密封非固体钽电容器为5年)。

● 为了保证使用,长期贮存2年以上或进行过浸锡处理的钽电

容器,在使用前最好施加额定电压,电源内阻不大于3Ω(非

固体钽电容器需串联一个最大1100Ω的保护电阻器)在85℃下

老化4-8小时,然后进行测量。双极性钽电容器应每小时反向

一次,并分别在两个引线端上测量漏电流。

● 将电容器包装贮存,匆暴露于直射阳光和粉尘中,贮存环

境保持常温(-10℃-+40℃),常湿(60%以下相对湿度)。

● 如果电容器长期放置在高温、高湿环境中,引线端子可焊性

和电容器性能都会降低。 4 Long Term Storage ●●●In order to assure use , tantalum capacitors stored for over two years or processed through dipping molten solder prior to using are preferably applied rated voltage while inherent resistance of the power supply is not more than 3Ω (For non-solid tantalum capacitor ,connect a protection resistor 1100Ω max.in series to the capacitor).and withstand aging at 85℃ for 4-8 hours , then make measurement . The lead terminals of at non-polar tantalum capacitor are reversed once every one hour and measurement of DC leakage current is also conducted on the two lead terminals respectively .Store the capacitors in the package not to be exposed

to direct sunlight and dust . Store in the environment

holding ordinary temperature (-10~+40℃) and ordinary

humidity (60% R.H. or under ).
