Module 1 unit1 “she’s a nice teacher.”is talking about somebody’s character. The contents in the lesson are mainly deal with the patterns “This is …She’s/He’s…”a nd use “nice, a bit, shy, clever, naughty”to describe someone’s character.

Analysis of the students 学情分析

It is known to us that the kids are very active and like playing games very much, so during my class, I’ll design some interesting games to activate them to participate and learn something. They will also be interested in the class. Teaching methods 教学方法

1. Aims on knowledge

(1)To learn the new words: nice, a bit, shy, clever, naughty .

(2)To enable the Ss to understand and speak the patterns: “This is …

She’s/He’s… ?”Make sure that Ss can use in real situations.

2. Aims on abilities

(1) To develop Ss’abilities of listening and speaking.

(2) To train the Ss’ability of working in groups.

3. Aim on emotion

(2)Find the friends , for example : long-short, big- small, fat-thin, tall- short Step 2 presentation

1. Learn new words

Cute [kju:t] clever ['klev?] nice [nais] naughty ['n?:ti] a bit

2. Listen the tape ,and know how many friends are there? Which character do they have ? Answer the following questions.

1. Who is a nice teacher?

2. Who is a bit shy?

3. Who is clever?

4. Who is very naughty?

Listen again ,Ss try to answer.

Read the text following the tape two times.

Role play the text .

Step 3 practice

Show two pictures and use he’s/she’s …to practice

Play a game

Guessing

Use “cool/nice/naughty/shy/cute”to act,and guess someone’s character
