Directions:In this part there are four passages. Each passage is followed by some questions or unfinished statements. For each of them there are four choices marked A, B, C, and D.You are required to decide on the choice that best answers the question or completes the statement.Passage 1

Questions 1 to 5 are based on the following passage:

The cowboy is the hero of many movies. He is, even today, a symbol of courage and adventure. But what was the life of the cowboy really like?

The cowboy’s job is clear from the word cowboy.Cowboys were men who took care of cows and other cattle. The cattle were in the West and in Texas. People in the cities of the East wanted beef from these cattle. Trains could take the cattle east. But first the cattle had to get the trains. Part of the cowboy’s job was to take the cattle hundreds of miles to the railroad towns.

The trips were called cattle drives. A cattle drive usually took several months. Cowboys rode for sixteen hours a day. Because they rode so much, each cowboy brought along about eight horses. A cowboy changed horses several times each day.

The cowboys had to make sure that the cattle arrived safely. Before starting on a drive, the cowboys branded the cattle. They burned a mark on the cattle to show who they belonged to. But these marks didn’t stop rustlers, or cattle thieves. Cowboys had to protect the cattle from rustlers. Rustlers made the dangerous trip even more dangerous. Even though their work was very difficult and dangerous, cowboys did not earn much money. They were paid badly. Yet cowboys liked their way of life. They lived in a wild and open country. They live

Passage 2

Questions 6 to 10 are based on the following passage:

Languages are marvelously complex and wonderfully complicated organs of culture:they embody the quickest and the most efficient means of communicating within their respective culture. To learn a foreign language is to learn another culture. In the words of a poet and philosopher, “As

many languages as one speaks, so many lives on lives.” A culture and its languages are as inseparable as brain and body; while one is a part of the other, neither can function without the other. In learning a foreign language, the best beginning is with the non-verbal linguistic elements of the language, its gestures, its body language. Eye contact is extremely important in English. Direct eye contact leads understanding, or, as the English maxim has it , seeing eye- to- eye. We can never see eye-to-eye with a native speaker of English until we have learned to look directly into his eyes.

6. The best title foe this passage________________.

A. Organs of Culture

B. Brain and Body

C. Seeing Eye-to-Eye

D. Non-Verbal Linguistic Elements

7. According to this passage, the best way to learn a foreign language is__.

A. to read the works of poets and philosophers

B. to find a native speaker and look directly into his eyes

C. to begin by learning its body language

D. to visit a country where English is spoken

8. According to this passage, gestures are______________.

A. non-verbal as well as non-linguistic

B. verbal and linguistic

C. non-verbal but nevertheless non-linguistic

D. verbal but nevertheless non-linguistic

9. “As many languages as one speaks, so many lives on lives.” means____. A.“If one learns many foreign languages, one will have a better understanding of his own language.”

B. “Life is richer and more interesting if one knows several languages.”

C. “No matter how many languages one knows, one can never know more than one’s own culture.”

D. “If a person speaks only one language, he will live a very happy life.”

10. What does the author imply but not state in the passage?

A. To learn a foreign language is to learn a culture.

B. A language cannot function without its particular culture.

C. Seeing eye to eye is the best beginning of contact.

D. Eye contact is impossible for a foreign and a native English.

Passage 3

Questions 11 to 15 are based on the following passage:

Cars of 2050 will travel the nation’s highways in never-before-dreamed-of safety, comfort, and convenience. These cars will float along never touching the ground, and therefore will have no need for wheels.

Annoying highway vibrations, caused by the rotations of the disc-and-tire-wheels, will be things of the past. The coming highway passenger cars will literally fly above the road, supported on columns of air compressed by turbine-driven fans.

The car without wheels has been called a “flying car”, and, in a sense, that’s just what it is; however, it will not back out of the family garage, start down the street, and then suddenly go quickly upward heading for some distant point. On the contrary, to avoid problems in aerial navigation, the wheelless vehicle probably will travel no more than three inches above road surface. It will travel over fairly rough road and even over smooth water!

The inevitable problems of maritime regulations, severe weather conditions, and running out of fuel in remote areas all will require new concepts of operation, servicing, and vehicle regulation.

11. The author believes that cars of the future______________.

A. Will be replaced by airplanes

B. Will have wheels unlike those of today

D. it can travel over smooth water

14. Where is a wheelless car LEAST fit to travel?

A. Over soft land

B. Over rough country roads.

C. Over highways

15. Wheelless cars will_____________.

A. eliminate all traffic problems

B. create new traffic problems

C. eliminate parking problems

D. Both A and C

Passage 4

Questions 16 to 20 are based on the following passage:

Very high waves are destructive when they strike the land. Fortunately, this seldom happens. One reason is that out at sea, waves moving in one direction almost always run into waves moving in a different direction. The two sets of waves tend to cancel each other out. Another reason is that water is shallower near the shore. As a wave gets closer to land, the shallow bottom helps reduce is strength.

But the power of waves striking the shore can still be very great. During a winter gale, waves sometimes strike the shore with the force of 6,000 pounds for each square foot. That means a wave, 25 feet high and 500 feet along its face, many strike the shore with a force of 75 million pounds.

Yet the waves, no matter how big or how violent, affect only the surface of the sea. During the most raging storms, the water a hundred fathoms (600 feet) beneath the surface is just as calm as on a day without a breath of wind.

16. According to the passage, destruction caused by high waves occurs_______.

A. regularly

B. rarely

C. always

D. predictably

17. We know from this passage that out at sea, when waves going in opposite directions meet, their force___________________.

D.is irrelevant to the question of the power of high waves

19. From the second paragraph of the passage we know that the power of very high wave striking the shore is_____________________.

A. constant

B. equalized

C. variable

D. perpetual

20. From your reading of the passage, which of the following is true?

A. At a depth of 1,200 feet the effects of a violent surface storm are frightful.

B.A submarine commander navigating his vessel at a depth of 700 feet will not be affected by araging surface storm.

C. A typhoon 500 miles out at sea can stir up the ocean floor.

The exact number of English words is not known. The large dictionaries have over half a million entries, but many of these are compound words (schoolroom, sugar bowl) or different derivatives of the same word (rare--rarely, rarefy), and a good many are obsolete words to help us read older literature. Dictionaries do not attempt to cover completely words that we can draw on: the informal vocabulary, especially slang, localism, the terms of various occupations and professions; words used only occasionally by scientists and specialists in many fields; foreign words borrowed for use in English; or many new words or new senses of words that come into use every year and that may or may not be used long enough to warrant being included. It would be conservative to say that there are over a million English words that any of us might meet in our listening and reading and that we may draw on in our speaking and writing.

Professor Seashore concluded that first-graders enter school with at least24,000 words and add 5,000 each year so that they leave high school with at least80,000. These figures are for recognition vocabulary, the words we

understand when we read or hear them. Our active vocabulary, the words we use in speaking and writing , is considerably smaller.

You cannot always produce a word exactly when you want it. But consciously using the words you recognize in reading will help get them into your active vocabulary. Occasiona-

You cannot always produce a word exactly when you want it. But consciously using the words you recognize in reading will help get them into your active vocabulary. Occasionally in your reading pay particular attention to these words, especially when the subject is one that you might well write or talk about. Underline or make a list of words that you feel a need for and look up the less familiar ones in a dictionary. And then before very long find a way to use some of them. Once you know how they are pronounced and what they stand for, you can safely use them.

新版徐州医科大学药学考研经验考研参考书考研真题

备考的时候唯一心愿就是上岸之后也可以写一篇经验贴,来和学弟学妹们分享这一年多的复习经验和教训。 我在去年这个时候也跟大家要一样在网上找着各种各样的复习经验贴,给我的帮助也很多,所以希望我的经验也可以给你们带来一定帮助,但是每个人的学习方法和习惯都不相同,所以大家还是要多借鉴别人的经验,然后找到适合自己的学习方法,并且坚持到底! 时间确实很快,痛也快乐着吧。 我准备考研的时间也许不是很长,希望大家不要学我,毕竟考研的竞争压力是越来越大,提前准备还是有优势的,另外就是时间线只针对本人,大家可以结合实际制定自己的考研规划。 在开始的时候我还是要说一个老生常谈的话题,就是你要想明白自己为什么要考研,想明白这一点是至关重要的。如果你是靠自我驱动,是有坚定的信心发自内心的想要考上研究生,就可以减少不必要的内心煎熬,在复习的过程中知道自己不断的靠近自己的梦想。 好了说了一些鸡汤,下面咱们说一下正经东西吧,本文三大部分:英语+政治+专业课,字数比较多,文末分享了真题和资料,大家可自行下载。 徐州医科大学药学的初试科目为: (101)思想政治理论 (201)英语一 (349)药学综合 参考书目为: 分析化学,第七版,李发美主编,人民卫生出版社;
