What does it mean to be green? "Green" is more than just a color. It also means taking special steps to protect the environment — the water, the land, and the air we breathe. Why green? Plants are green, and without them, the Earth wouldn't be such a lovely home for us human beings.

You'll use less gas — and get some exercise! Put your computer to "sleep" instead of leaving it on with the screensaver running.

As a child, I was really afraid of the dark and of getting lost．These fears were very real and caused me some
uncomfortable moments.

One of the processes (过程) about growing up is being able to realize and overcome (克服) our fears．Understanding the things that scared us as children helps us achieve greater success later in life.
