Teaching Plan for Writing Course

(How to Beautify Your Composition?)

The General Idea of This Period:

This class we are going to deal with writing part in the college entrance examination, which mainly texts students’ English language using and expression. In this class, students will learn more about English writing and meanwhile they can develop the ability of appreciating and assessing English compositions. Furthermore they will try to adopt various advanced sentence patterns in their own writing and improve their writing ability.

Teaching Objectives:

Knowledge Objects

Students will be able:

1. To learn some advanced sentence patterns and structures.

2. To know better about writing part in the latest college entrance examinations.

3. To conclude some key points about how to write a good essay.

Ability Objects

Students will be able:

1. To use effective sentences to complete a coherent composition.

2. To foster their writing ability with the help of some writing strategies.

3. To assess some works and improve them by using what they obtained in this class.

Moral Objects

1. To cultivate students' interest of English writing.

2. To develop students' sense of cooperation with others to solve problems.

1. Help the students grasp the ability of assessing and writing English composition.

1. Enable students to write their own compositions using some advanced sentence patterns and structures.

命题特点

1. 所选题材及体裁都非常贴近考生生活,紧扣与学生相关的社会热点及学生的生活与学习。

2. 词数要求在100-120之间,既要求表达事实信息,又要陈述个人观点,对考生思维和表达
