The University of Cambridge is the second-oldest university in the English-speaking world. It is regarded as one of the world's leading academic institutions. The University grew out of an association of scholars in the city of Cambridge that was formed, in 1209 by scholars leaving Oxford. The two universities also have a long history of rivalry with each other. Academically, Cambridge is consistently ranked in the world's top 5 universities. It has traditionally been an academic institution of choice of the Royal Family and has produced 82 Nobel Laureates to date, more than any other university throughout the world. (100 words)
