Chapter 1

Alice fell down a rabbit hole and found herself in a room. There was a bottle on the table. Alice drank from it. She became very small and couldn’t reach the key to the door of the room. She found a cake and began to eat it.

Chapter 2

Alice became so big she couldn’t get through the door. She began to cry and soon the room filled with her tears. A White Rabbit ran toward her. She found herself wearing his gloves and began to get small again. A mouse came into the room and she swam with it out of the room.

Chapter 3

Alice met many creatures on the shore. They had a race. Everyone got a prize. When Alice told the creatures about her cat, many of them went away. Alice began to cry again because she missed her cat.

Chapter 4

The White Rabbit told Alice to get his gloves and fan. She went into his house and drank from a bottle. She grew so big that she couldn’t get out of the house. She found a cake and ate it and grew small enough to get out of the house. She met a caterpillar sitting on a mushroom.

Chapter 5

Alice had a long talk with the caterpillar about many things. He recited a poem to her. She asked the caterpillar how she could become bigger. He told her that if she ate one side of the mushroom she would get bigger, and if she ate the other she would get smaller. She didn’t know which side to eat.

Chapter 6

Alice went into a house. There were many strange animals in the house. There was also a Duchess with a baby that turned into a pig. Alice met a cat and she asked him where she should go. He told her if she went one way she’d meet a Hatter, but if she went another way she’d meet a Hare. Chapter 7

Alice met the Hatter and the Hare. They were having a tea party with a mouse that was asleep. Alice joined them. The mouse woke up and told a story. Alice thought they were all mad (crazy) and left them. She soon found herself back in the room where she started from.

Chapter 8

Alice met the Queen in the garden where gardeners were painting the roses. The Queen invited Alice to play croquet. Alice realized that everyone was only a playing card. Alice asked where the Duchess was. The Queen told her she was in prison.

Chapter 9

Alice met a Turtle who told her a boring story. She went into a large hall that was a court room. The Knave of Hearts was on trial for stealing some tarts. The Hatter was a witness. Alice began to grow bigger. Then the Hatter called her to be a witness.

Chapter 10

Alice didn’t know anything about the Knave of Hearts and the tarts. The King told her to leave the court because she was too big. The White Rabbit showed the court a poem. It did not have anyone’s name on it. The Queen said that this proves the Knave of Hearts was guilty. Alice finally woke up, and realized her adventures were simply a dream.
