本单元是初中英语教材牛津英语上海版7a的第八单元。本单元由9个板块组成,

各个板块围绕着以兴趣与爱好为主题来展开教学。教材从听﹑说﹑读﹑写和综合运用

5个方面为学生提供了任务。reading(a)是一篇关于观星爱好的短文; reading(b) 让学生了

解摄影师的爱好及摄影的意义。阅读后让学生与作者进行对比,描述自己的兴趣爱好或其他

的职业。listening也是围绕着单元的主题来培养﹑提高学生听的能力。 language学习when

引导的时间状语从句及表示动作在过去常常发生的句式used to do/ didnt use to do 。

speaking 要求掌握音标的拼读及有礼貌地提供建议的日常交际用语,让学生口头表达将

去实施某计划。writing让学生仿照课文,围绕hobbies/

一、教学内容:section a(教材p19-21)

section a主要通过谈论话题things around the house 学习询问物品的位置,使学生学会基本句型wheres/ wherere ~~~? its/ theyre on/in/under~~~~.和 yes/no疑问句,进一步体会和学会运用where? yes/no疑问句的用法;学会运用方位介词on/in/under来表达物品的位置。通过以上两个方面的学习,使学生学会运用听关键词、推测词意的学习策略,识别不同物品的位置。本单元与第五单元衔接紧密:由本单元is/are ?的学习过渡到第五单元do ?一般疑问句的学习,最终促进学生综合运用语言能力的提高和形成学生在实践中学会学习的能力,从而为终身学习打下坚实的基础。

二、教学目的:section a从学生的认知实际出发,以学生日常学习生活所接触的物品为内容,通过用图片、听对话等不同方式来描述物品位置、找寻物品等的一系列活动,激发学生学习英语的积极情感态度,让学生在听、说、读、写、做中学习掌握语言知识,培养学生准确、熟练运用本单元语言知识的能力。

三、教学目标:(知识目标、能力目标、德育目标)

1、语言知识和语言技能目标:

(1)学习和掌握有关询问物品位置的句型:

wheres my backpack? its on/in/under/behind/next to the chair.

are my books on the chair? yes,they are.no,they arent.

is it on/in/under ? yes,it is.no,it isnt.

(2)学习和掌握有关家具类的单词:table, bed, dresser, bookcase ,sofa ,chair ,drawer , plant , bag

(3) 学会三个方位介词的用法:on ,in , under

2、能力目标:培养学生用英语思维的判辨能力、综合运用语言的能力和自主学习的能力。培养学生的语言交际能力和创新能力。

3、情感目标:提高学生学习英语的兴趣和自信心,培养学生善于与他人合作的精神,使他们积极主动参预课堂活动和相关的课外活动,并从中体验学习的乐趣,从而培养学生乐于探索和勤于动手的学习态度。

4、德育目标:促使学生了解和关心自己和他人的家居环境,热爱自己的家,养成良好的生活习惯。从完成任务的过程中,学会互相合作,互相帮助,互相提高的社会交际意识。

四、教学重、难点及教学突破:

通过使用方位介词on/in/under表达物品的位置及学

习where和yes/no疑问句的用法,使学生学会区别特殊疑问句和一般疑问句。

五、学情分析:

本课的对象是刚进初中不久的七年级新生,有部分学生小学并没有学过英语,他们对英语有着极大的兴趣和好奇心。教师应该抓住这个有利因素,注重对学生学习英语兴趣的培养,保持他们强烈的好奇心和旺盛的求知欲。因此,在教学过程中应当精心设计各种教学活动,积极采用新颖、丰富多彩的教学手段来激发学生的学习兴趣,用兴趣来激活他们的思维能力,唤起他们的学习注意力,进而充分调动学生的学习积极性和主动性,让他们积极参与到教学中去,真正成为一堂课的主人。

六、学法指导:

鉴于所学单词及句型特点及学生现有知识水平,可以引导学生采用听、看、读、猜、想、说的方法来学习本课。通过听、看,达到有所思,有所得,帮助不同阶层的学生掌握学习重点;采用多表扬、勤鼓励的评价方法,使不同层次的学生都有学习积极性,在知识上均有所提高。

九、教学过程:

step1. warming-up

1.将已学过的物品名称列成一张单词表,老师指单词,学生念单词。

2.利用这张单词表做一个名为bingo game的游戏。

游戏规则:全班分为a、b两组,每组每次各派一位组员读单词,哪个组的组员能最快地使自己组读出的四个单词横、竖或斜成一条直线的话,他们就可以喊bingo,这个组就赢了。

目的:通过这个小游戏,让学生重新温习原来所学过的物品名称,为新课学习作好铺垫。 step2.new words

1. 老师提出一个问题:what furniture can you see in

a house?让学生分小组展开讨论。然后

各小组派代表来说说自己小组讨论后得出的结果,哪个小组说得最多最准确的为胜者。

2. 在屏幕上投影出各种家具的图片,通过whats this?来介绍本课的新单词。

3. 老师随意地指那些图片,学生说出相对应的单词。

4. 老师随意地指那些图片,学生一个接一个轮流说出相对应的单词。

5. 老师在屏幕上用闪现的方式展示图片,学生边看图片边说单词。

6. 做1a的练习。

目的:通过由学生先自己进行讨论和归纳,让学生对所要学的知识有一个大概的了解,接着老师再教这些单词,学生的印象就会更加深刻。接着通过一系列的活动,使学生在轻松的气氛中学习和掌握这些新词中掌握新单词。

step3.grammar

1.老师通过小盒子和小球的位置变化提问wheres the ball?和wherere the balls?,

形象直观地引出三个介词:on、in、under。

2.任务一:猜猜看(一)

1)老师提问:this is my old house. can you guess where the furniture is?

2)老师投影出一所空房子的图片以及各种家具的图片。并提问:where is/are-----?引导学生回答:its ------./theyre-------.

目的:通过这一任务的完成,学生自然而然地学会了介词的用法,并掌握重点句型where is/are-----?以及相应的

回答方式its ------./theyre-------.

3.任务二:猜猜看(二)

1)老师提问:this is my new house. can you guess where the furniture is now?

2) 老师又投影出一所空房子的图片以及各种家具的图片。并提问:where is/are-----? 学生以小组为单位进行讨论,并选派代表来猜:is it /are they-----?猜对最多的小组获胜。目的:通过这一任务的完成,学生能进一步巩固介词的用法,并掌握另一重点句型is it /are they-----? 以及相应的回答方式yes, it is. / no, it isnt.yes, they are./ no, they arent.

4. 教学生说唱一首chant来归纳介词on、in、under 的用法。

歌词如下:where is the ball?its on the floor.

where is the clock?its on the wall.

where are the pens?theyre under the desk.

where are the rulers?theyre in the drawer.

step4.listening

老师向学生讲有关jimmy的两个情景并提出问题,然后让学生听录音找出答案

情景一、jimmy 是个粗心大意的男孩,他总是把东西乱放。请你帮他把需要的东西找出来。做1b的练习。

情景二、sally帮忙收拾了房子,结果jimmy又找不到他的东西了。请你再帮他把东西找出来。做2a和2b的练习。

目的:通过创设情景来听对话,使学生学会运用听关键词和推测词意的能力。

step5.task

任务一:寻宝大行动

活动过程:学生课前把自己最喜欢的一件东西收藏起来。以小组为单位,询问其他组员把宝物放在什么地方。规定时间内找到宝物最多者获胜。

第一步:复习

猜词游戏:

老师在黑板上写出某个单词的第一个字母让全体学生来猜,表扬猜中的学生,如果大家都猜不出,老师可以给出口头的英文解释。

第二步:呈现

1.限制时间让学生快速地读完短文,并完成随后的正误判断题。

2.仔细阅读短文二遍,让学生独立完成1b,然后集体检查纠错。

3.将集体总结的关键词句列于黑板上,并画出一幅简笔画。老师按照要点和简笔画复述短文做出示范,然后让学生复述。

第三步:巩固

1.将介词in, on, under, behind, in front of 填入2的三段文字中,学生独立完成后再集体检查纠错。

2.两个人一组找出3中两幅图片的不同之处,然后让学生以小组为单位来完成短文填空。第四步:练习

给学生两分钟时间进一步熟悉其它同学的座位和名字。然后从老师开始做游戏。

选一个学生背对其他同学,老师给出描述如下:

who is she?

如果该学生猜中的话,他/她就可以扮演老师的角色,选其他同学来猜下一轮。猜不中的话就重新选人猜。

2.故事接龙

每个同学说一句话来共同编一个故事,每个人都要尽量的使故事有趣生动。可以这样来开头:there is a beautiful girl in front of a big garden...
