Social media plays an important role in our lives. We check our social media accounts（账户）such as emails and Facebook almost every day. Lately, people like posting pictures just for the purpose of getting others’ attention through their “flowers”, no matter whether these pictures a re good or not. Recently, I was very annoyed with these types of posts, so I decided to stop using social media for one week.
After not using social media for a week, I can honestly say that everything has changed. Before last week, I used to check Faceboo k more than five times a day, as well as of my other social accounts, and I couldn’t understand why I did that. Now I check Facebook much less.

Maybe as a society, we are using social media wrongly. I think we sometimes forget that social media helps us contact with people who are far away from us. I think it’s a beautiful thing that I am able to go on Facebook and feel connected with people that I don’t have the opportunity of seeing every single day anymore.
