释:1)on May 2nd意为“在5月2日”,介词on常与“日期”、“星期几”搭配,表示“在具体的某一天”。例如:I often visit my aunt on May 1st我经常在5月1日去看望我姑姑。He goes to Beijing on Monday.他周一去北京。2)My bithday is October tenth.= My bithday is on October tenth.

【拓展】英语中日期的表达方法:

①美式英语表达法:按月、日、年的顺序。“日”与“年”之间要加“,”。书写时,“日”可以写成序数词的形式,也可以只写阿拉伯数字;读时,“日”一定要读作序数词。例如:February1/1st,1998读作February the first,nineteen ninety-eight

释:Alice’s为名词所有格形式,意为“爱丽丝的”。名词所有格表示人或物的所属关系。

①一般情况下,在单数名词的词尾加”’s”.例如:Jim’s book吉姆的书。

②以-s结尾的复数名词在词尾加“’”.例如:the student’s basketball学生们的篮球。

③不以-s结尾的复数名词在词尾加“’s”。例如:Children’s Day儿童节men’s clothes男士服装

( 你多大年龄? ) 在英语中表达年龄时常说:She?s eight. 也可以说:She is eight years of age . 还可以说:She is eight years old. 但不可说:She is eight age. 4)“年龄”表示法还有:(1)“at the age of + 基数词”或“at +基数词”。基数词后不再加years old , 此短语常作状语,如:At the age of eight ,he went to an island with his parents . (2)“of + 基数词”。此结构常作后置定语,数词后不能接years old。如:At that time , he was just a boy of sixteen . 当时,他只是一个十六岁的男孩。(3)“基数词-year-old”。此结构常用前置定语。如:When he was an eight-year-old boy , he began to make a living . 当他是一个八岁的男孩时,就开始谋生了。(4)“be in one‘s + teens / twenties / thirties……nineties”,表示“在某人十几岁/二十几岁/三十几岁……九十几岁时”。如:He was in is fifties . 释:trip名词,意为“旅游;旅行”,尤指短途游玩或有目的的旅行。例如:They are on a trip to Beijing.他们在去北京老的旅行中。
