①培养民族阅读习惯，重点人群是少年儿童。从个体角度来说，阅读不仅帮
助少儿认知世界，更是在塑造其人格，为其心灵注入力量，打下人生的底色。从
国家和民族发展的角度来讲，一个人从少年儿童时期养成的阅读习惯不仅有可能
保持一生，而且这一阶段的阅读滋养可以影响个体乃至群体心灵的塑造。
②家庭是阅读的起点，家长的阅读习惯和家庭阅读氛围，决定了孩子最初的
阅读态度，也将影响孩子成年后的阅读习惯。因此，对家长的阅读引导，应成为
少儿阅读推广的必要组成部分。前不久，新闻出版广电总局委托中国少年儿童出版社进行了一个公益项目，就是直接对0到3岁幼儿的家长进行家庭阅读辅导，可称是一次有意义的尝试。
③对于少儿阅读习惯的引导，学校需要与家庭达成共识。小学阶段，阅读和基础语文能力的培养结合得比较紧密，容易家校合作。但小学生缺乏甄别能力，容易陷入娱乐化功利化阅读：或被花哨设计实则庸俗的低劣读物吸引，或只读教辅读物、作文选集，这将束缚阅读视野、降低阅读兴趣，更违背“书籍滋润心灵”的意义。因此，学校老师需要对小学生的阅读内容进行引导，培养孩子们判断图书好坏的能力。
④引导少儿阅读也要注意抓时机，抓关键。进入初中后，孩子们往往进入自主阅读阶段。学校在此时如果能够引导学生进行更深入、更个性化的阅读，将事半功倍。而到高中阶段，学校和学生都面临着如何在升学和阅读上有效分配时间的难题。这时，有人会放弃阅读，有人转而读纯粹的消遣读物——这正是一个阅读的分水岭。
⑤目前，我国尚有很多少年儿童生活在贫困地区，还有许多是常年缺少父母陪伴的留守儿童。他们所处的成长环境条件有限，文化资源匮乏。令人欣慰的是，针对贫困地区少年儿童的阅读推广工作正在逐步开展。“书香童年”小书包公益活动，就是将装满书籍与光盘的“小书包”免费发放给贫困地区的3万个家庭，为尚在襁褓中的孩子提供0岁就开始阅读的条件。一些经济落后地区的学校也在上级主管部门的扶持和各界资助下，建立起小小图书馆，越来越多的儿童文学作家正走进贫困地区推广阅读，越来越多来自贫困地区的老师也有机会走出来，到
经济发达地区学习如何开展少儿阅读推广活动。这些做法

A A few years ago, I worked at a church(教堂) and since my son was home schooling, he went with me to the church every day. Most mornings, we’d stop at a local convenience store, getting a chocolate drink for him and a cup of coffee for me.
