2017十大流行语双语版
2017年12月8日，国家语言资源监测与研究中心发布“2017年度中国媒体十大流行语”。本次发布的十大流行语为：“十九大、新时代、共享、雄安新区、金砖国家、人工智能、人类命运共同体、天舟一号、撸起袖子加油干、不忘初心，牢记使命”。
1.十九大the 19th National Congress of the Communist Party of China
十九大即中国共产党第十九次全国代表大会，于2017年10月18日至10月24日在北京召开。大会主题为“不忘初心，牢记使命，高举中国特色社会主义伟大旗帜，决胜全面建成小康社会，夺取新时代中国特色社会主义伟大胜利，为实现中华民族伟大复兴的中国梦不懈奋斗”。（Remain true to our original aspiration and keep our mission firmly in mind, hold high the banner of socialism with Chinese characteristics, secure a decisive victory in building a moderately prosperous society in all respects, strive for the great success of socialism with Chinese characteristics for a new era, and work tirelessly to realize the Chinese Dream of national rejuvenation.）
2.新时代a new era
2017年10月18日，习近平同志在中国共产党第十九次全国代表大会上，作了题为《决胜全面建成小康社会夺取新时代中国特色社会主义伟大胜利》（Secure a decisive victory in building a moderately prosperous society in all respects and strive for the great success of socialism with Chinese characteristics for a new era）的报告，指出“中国特色社会主义进入了新时代”（socialism with Chinese characteristics has crossed the threshold into a new era）。
这个新时代，是承前启后、继往开来、在新的历史条件下继续夺取中国特色社会主义伟大胜利的时代。（This new era will be an era of building on past successes to further advance our cause, and of continuing in a new historical context to strive for the success of socialism with Chinese characteristics.）
3.共享share
共享是共享经济（sharing economy）中的核心理念，强调物品的使用权而非所有权。共享经济是公众将闲置资源通过社会化平台与他人共享，进而获得收入的经济现象。
2016年，共享单车（bike-sharing）的兴起将共享的概念带入了人们的视野。2017年，共享经济更加发展壮大，涉及行业不断增加，规模不断扩大。共享单车、共享汽车（shared cars）、共享雨伞（shared umbrella）、共享充电宝（sharable chargers）……种种创新发挥着人们的想象力，同时也是对社会闲散资源进行合理利用的尝试。
4.雄安新区the Xiongan New Area
2017年4月1日，中共中央、国务院印发通知，决定于河北省保定市内设立国家级新区——雄安新区。这是以习近平同志为核心的党中央作出的一项重大的历史性战略选择（a major historic and strategic choice made by the Communist Party of China Central Committee with Comrade Xi Jinping as the core），是继深圳经济特区（the Shenzhen Special Economic Zone）和上海浦东新区（the Shanghai Pudong New Area）之后又一具有全国意义的新区，是千年大计（a strategy crucial for a millennium to come）、国家大事（be of national significance）。设立雄安新区，对于集中疏解北京非首都功能（noncapital functions），探索人口经济密集地区优化开发新模式（explore a new model of optimized development in densely populated areas），调

5.金砖国家BRICS
金砖国家（BRICS）引用了中国（China）、俄罗斯（Russia）、印度（India）、巴西（Brazil）和南非（South Africa）的英文首字母，也称“金砖五国”。自2006年至今，金砖合作已经步入第二个“黄金十年”。2017年1月1日，中国正式接任金砖国家主席国。9月3日至5日，金砖国家领导人第九次会晤在福建厦门举行，主题是“深化金砖伙伴关系，开辟更加光明未来”（stronger BRICS partnership for a brighter future）。
习近平主席在会上提出四点期待：深化务实合作（practical cooperation），促进共同发展（common development）；加强全球治理（global governance），共同应对挑战；开展人文交流（people-to-people exchanges），夯实民意基础；推进机制建设，构建更广泛伙伴关系。
6.人工智能artificial intelligence
经过多年的演进，人工智能发展进入了新阶段。新一代人工智能（the new generation of AI）正在给人类经济、社会与生活带来颠覆性影响（a game-changer），人工智能的发展正进入新阶段，呈现出深度学习（deep learning）、跨界融合（cross-border integration）、人机协同（man-machine coordination）、和智能操作（intelligent operation）等特征。
为抢抓人工智能发展的重大战略机遇，构筑我国人工智能发展的先发优势，加快建设创新型国家（an innovation-driven country）和世界科技强国（a strong country in science and technology），2017年7月20日，国务院印发了《新一代人工智能发展规划》。该规划提出了面向2030年我国新一代人工智能发展的指导思想、战略目标、重点任务和保障措施，为我国人工智能的进一步加速发展奠定了重要基础。
7.人类命运共同体a community with a shared future
人类命运共同体指在追求本国利益时兼顾他国合理关切，在谋求本国发展中促进各国共同发展。人类只有一个地球，各国共处一个世界，要倡导“人类命运共同体”意识。2017年10月18日，习近平同志在十九大报告中提出，坚持和平发展道路（follow a path of peaceful development），推动构建人类命运共同体（work to build a community with a shared future for mankind）。推动建设人类命运共同体，源自中华文明历经沧桑始终不变的“天下”情怀，是中国领导人基于对世界大势的准确把握而贡献的“中国方案”（a Chinese approach），更是新时期中国特色大国外交的生动实践。人类命运共同体意识超越了种族、文化、国家与意识形态的界限，为思考人类未来提供了全新的视角，为推动世界和平发展给出了一个理性可行的行动方案。
8.天舟一号Tianzhou-1
天舟一号货运飞船是中国首个货运飞船（the first cargo spacecraft），于2017年4月20日19时41分35秒在文昌航天发射中心（the Wenchang Space Launch Center）由长征七号遥二运载火箭（a Long March-7 Y2 carrier rocket）成功发射升空，并于4月27日成功完成与天宫二号的首次推进剂在轨补加试验，这标志着天舟一号飞行任务取得圆满成功。天舟一号货运飞船由中国空间技术研究院（中国航天科技集团五院）研制，具有与天宫二号空间实验室交会对接、实施推进剂在轨补加、开展空间科学实验和技术试验等功能。天舟一号任务也是中国载人航天工程空间实验室阶段（space laboratory stage of China manned space engineering）的收官之战。
9.撸起袖子加油干Roll up our sleeves to work harder
“撸起袖子加油干”出自习近平主席2017年新年贺词。“上下同欲者胜。只要我们13亿多人民和衷共济，只要我们党永远同人民站在一起，大家撸起袖子加油干，我们就一定能够走好我们这一代人的长征路。”（As long as our 1.3 billion-plus people are pulled together for a common cause, as long as the Party stands together with the people and we roll up our sleeves to work harder, we will surely succeed in a Long March of our generation.）
10.不忘初心，牢记使命
Remain true to our original aspiration and keep our mission firmly in mind
“不忘初心，牢记使命，高举中国特色社会主义伟大旗帜，决胜全面建成小康社会，夺取新时代中国特色社会主义伟大胜利，为实现中华民族伟大复兴的中国梦不懈奋斗。”这是中国共产党第十九次全国代表大会的主题。不忘初心，方得始终。（Never forget why you started, and you can accomplish your mission.）
中国共产党人的初心和使命，就是为中国人民谋幸福，为中华民族谋复兴。（The original aspiration and the mission of Chinese Communists is to seek happiness for the Chinese people and rejuvenation for the Chinese nation.）
这个初心和使命是激励中国共产党人不断前进的根本动力。（This original aspiration, this mission, is what inspires Chinese Communists to advance.）
