2014年5月11日新托福听力预测【前言】4月27日托福考试听力部分回顾考试时间讲座考试主题4.27Literature:Writing rules,两个作家写作特点的对比。
Archeology:考古遗址Viking town,有新旧两个不同派别一个觉得是politicalcentre,一个认为有trade的作用。
Astronomy:三种星云nebula的不同,emission nebula,reflectionnebula,darknebulaLife science:三种水中生物的共生类型,parasiti,commensalism,mutualism。
综上回顾,4月27日托福听力全部为美音,对话因语速较快,难度偏高,讲座文章结构清晰,难度不大,文章主要以并列、对比和新旧理论发展的讨论为主。
讲座为Art,Social Science,Physical Science, Life Science文章各一篇,词汇偏难,但是多为托福常考背景话题,如星云、共生等。

第一套Section 1【主旨】天文学PAPER【内容】有一个女生去找天文学的老师,老师说来的正好,我也想跟你聊聊你的paper的事情,老师说女生paper写的不错,有个工作的机会就是到他的朋友那边做研究,女生答应。
随后女生表明来意,她来找老师是因为想问老师昨天上课提到的但是没有讲的,关于星系中extra solar planet 的内容。
学生问有没有发现与地球相似的,教师说发现有methane物质,但是否有生命存在还没有结论,需要时间给出结果。
Section 2【主旨】古生物学【内容】老师说恐龙年代太久远,我们无法使用蛋白质复原法去研究他们,但是有一个偶然的机会科学家使用技术检测到了化石中的protein,科学家在一种T恐龙的化石中检测出的protein跟肌肉里的差不多,但是由于实验仪器和进程的缺陷,大家都质疑这个结果,之后又用这个仪器做了一种鸟类的实验,发现恐龙H和恐龙T以及鸡的是一样的。

而纵观2014年全年的新托福口语考试,朗阁福州托福辅导班专家总结出“花开生两面,老瓶装新酒”的特点。
“花开生两面”是指2014年新托福考试出现了6次一日两题的情况:分别是3月22日,4月12日,8月23日,9月27日,11月8日和12月6日;以及4次口语整套重复的情况:分别是3月1日与9月21日重复,3月22日A卷与9月14日重复,4月27日与11月23日重复,以及5月24日与12月28日重复。
第一个特点是ETS在2014年开始大规模“反预测”。
在2013年以前,中国大陆的托福考试既有整套重复,也有拼盘重复,又存在新题日,且新题日可以预判。
进入2013年,中国大陆所有的托福考试均为拼盘重复,且新老题混合在一套题目中,这意味着整套重复与新题日不复存在,自此考试的难度有所加大。
而2014年大陆托福考试除了2014年8月30日(唯一新题日)的考试之外,其余所有考试均重复了之前考过的题目(老题),且为拼盘重复,甚至口语的六道题源于之前六次不同的考试,这是2014年ETS“乱拼盘”和“反预测”规律的反映。
这种变化带来的是对于考试准备难度的大大增加,单纯投机性的小范围准备甚至是一个月的大范围机经无法对于考试进行合理的预测,甚至提前背诵和写出答案可能都是无用功。
因为AB卷的出现,利用时间差偷听隔壁口语试题有可能不再奏效;2014年初ETS发布通告说在口语考试评分中使用“biometric voice analyses system”,对于那些事先准备好答案或是背诵网络上的“标准”答案的考生是致命的打击。
这就要求考生在考试中能够真正的以自己的实力完成口语考试,虽然比之前而言增加了挑战,但是却将托福口语考试拉回了真正做到对于每个考生都公平的轨道。
曾经有考生在考试前买了网上所谓的逆天版机经,并且十分认真地背诵了答案,在考场上看到考试题目与之前准备的题目类似时欣喜若狂地将背诵的答案一气呵成地说了出来,最终却只得到了15分。
