___伦敦2月24日电（记者张代蕾）在浩如烟海的中文文学作品中，金庸武侠小说拥有特殊的江湖地位。无论身在何处，哪个金庸迷心中没藏着一个仗剑天涯的少年？如今，金庸迷的阵容里又要增加一大批五湖四海的歪果仁了。
这要归功于瑞典姑娘安娜·霍姆伍德。她有个好听的中文名字：郝玉青。

2月22日，农历大年初七，英国麦克莱霍斯出版社面向全球发行由她翻译的《射雕英雄传》第一卷。这是这部金庸经典作品首次被译成英文出版。
“这是我人生中的一个重要时刻，”郝玉青对记者如是说。
【以“谦卑的心”翻译金庸】
因原著情节丰满、篇幅很长，出版商决定将《射雕英雄传》（The Legends of the Condor Heroes）分为4卷陆续翻译出版。
这次出版的第一卷《英雄诞生》（A Hero Born），标价14.99英镑（约合人民币132元）。封面上绘着一只展开的黑色翅膀。

英国发行商在宣传中将这部译作称为“中国的《魔戒》”。在书店内，这部作品被置于“玄幻类文学作品”门类之下。
对以翻译为职业的郝玉青来说，翻译《射雕英雄传》是她迄今为止觉得最难的一次挑战。
她告诉记者，金庸小说里涉及了大量历史背景、文化习俗、人物、食品、中药……单单是理解这些事物名称并准确翻译出来，就相当不容易。
如何翻译原著中虚构出来的那些盖世神功、无敌招式，更令她“头疼”：
“降龙十八掌”：“the 18 palm attacks to defeat dragons”(击败龙的十八掌击)；
“九阴白骨爪”：“Nine Yin Skeleton Claw”(九阴骷髅爪)
记者问她有没有为了翻译武侠小说自己在家练武，她笑道：“我主要还是靠上网查找视频资料，偶尔会稍微比划一下动作，体会书中描述的场景到底怎么回事。”

不过，在她看来，最大的困难还不是这些。她深知金庸原著在读者心目中的地位和受关注度，因此她必须“怀着一颗谦卑的心”翻译。
“肯定会有读者在看我的翻译时忍不住对比原著，一想到这点我就紧张，”她坦言，“但我真的尽力而为了。”
郝玉青说，她的翻译不追求“字字对应”的准确，而是更注重通顺易懂，希望达到“就像金庸在和读者用英文讲话”的效果。

就以最简单的人名来说，原著中中文人名往往深藏寓意，暗合人物形象或性格宿命。在翻译过程中，郝玉青也一直在音译和意译之间做平衡。
郭靖是Guo Jing，杨康是Yang Kang，但黄蓉被译为Lotus Huang（倒译成黄莲花就很接地气了）；
杨铁心被译为Ironheart Yang，算是结合得很完美；
郭啸天被译为Skyfury Guo，想想一怒冲天的画面的确很带感；
包惜弱被译为Charity Bao，倒是很贴合仁慈善良的性格特点，穆念慈则是Mercy Mu。

书中其他角色翻译也很有趣，比如“五绝”中的东邪黄药师就是The Eastern Heretic Apothecary Huang；
中神通王重阳是Double Sun Wang Chongyang；
梅超风是Cyclone Mei，“梅旋风”的画面感十足。
“最糟糕的是你把每个字都翻译准确了，但译作读起来却毫无生趣，这完全丧失了文学翻译的意义。”她说，“小说是一种充满娱乐性、创造性的文学形式，用另一种语言，尤其是与汉语完全不同的语言，再现和保留这些特性，需要一定灵活性。”
“我知道没有翻译是完美无缺的，总有地方让人不同意或者不喜欢。但我一直坚信：不翻译才是最大的缺失。”
【她从《鹿鼎记》爱上金庸】
郝玉青父亲是英国人，母亲是瑞典人，本人在英国长大，曾在牛津大学读历史专业。十余年前，20岁出头的她独自到中国游学的“奇妙旅行”，触动了她想要学习中文的初心。她花了3年多时间在牛津大学等高校学习中文专业、研读中国文学和历史。

郝玉青偏爱中国古典文学，唐诗、宋词、文言文都令她痴迷。她为女词人李清照所倾倒，亦钟情屈原的《楚辞》。
“相比正统文学，我更喜欢在不落窠臼、充满创造力和想象力的文学作品里徜徉，”郝玉清说。这也是她后来迷上金庸武侠小说的重要原因。
最初，她受好友推荐读金庸，面对满满一书架武侠小说，买下了自己第一本金庸作品——《鹿鼎记》。
她认为，金庸的武侠小说是 ___古典文学的传承，“有点像《西游记》和《水浒传》”。此外，金庸善于在虚构的武侠世界里表达自己的价值观，这也让郝玉青感到有趣。
她选择了以翻译为职业，“每天做的事都是阅读、翻译，以及向西方市场推介优秀的中国文学作品”。
她翻译的第一本当代长篇小说是《山楂树之恋》，此外还有不少短篇小说。
【相信武侠小说在西方大有市场】
从决定翻译到最终出书，郝玉青用了将近6年时间。
xx年，在中国从事过图书代理工作的郝玉青向一位西方图书代理商推荐了《射雕英雄传》。她认为金庸的这本书可以成为一个良好开端，是向英国出版界介绍中国武侠作品的绝佳方式。
代理商随后让她摘译了一段《射雕英雄传》作为样本，开始寻找对此感兴趣的西方出版商。第二年，麦克莱霍斯出版社看中了郝玉青的翻译，买下版权，计划把这本书分为四卷陆续翻译出版。郝玉青负责翻译第一卷和第三卷。

郝玉青认为，金庸的作品里有侠肝义胆、江湖情仇，是全世界读者都喜欢的内容。“现在有许多西方人在练武术，也喜欢看功夫电影，这说明武侠小说在西方一定会有一群‘核心’读者。”
她非常看好中国传统武侠小说在英文图书市场的前景。
对于文学翻译，郝玉青认为，译者的责任是“创造新的对话，激发新的兴趣和讨论”，因为一本译作的面世可能带来更多翻译版本，促使更多文学作品被翻译介绍给其他国家的读者。
去年年底，记者刚联系上郝玉青时，她正在为该书第一卷做最后的润稿和校对工作，同时每天还要照顾年幼的儿子，忙得天昏地暗。
郝玉清把这本译作看成自己的另一个孩子。“如今，这本书出版，就像孩子独立了，我没法再做任何修改，只能学会放手，让孩子独自出去闯荡，同时心里为他祈祷。”（孙浩王丰丰李震）
