2022高考英语二轮:语篇阅读高分练(4)及答案语篇阅读高分练(四)(建议用时:30分钟)Ⅰ.阅读理解A(2021·甘肃省部分一般高中高三2月联考)Energy independence. It has a nice ring to it.Doesn’t it? If you think so,you’re not alone, because energy independence has been the dream of American president for decades, and never more so than in the past few years, when the most recent oil price shock has been partly responsible for kicking off the great recession.“Energy independence”and its rhetorical(修辞的) companion “energy security”are, however, slippery concepts that are rarely through, though. What is it that we want independence from, exactly? Most people would probably say that they want to be independent from imported oil.But there are reasons that we buy all that oil from elsewhere. The first reason is that we need it to keep our economy running.Yes,there is a trickle(涓涓细流)of biofuel(生物燃料)available, and more may become available, but most biofuels cause economic waste and environmental destruction.Second,Americans have basically decided that they don’t really want to produce all their own oil. They value the environmental quality they preserve over their oil imports from abroad.Vast areas of the United States areoff-limits to oil exploration and production in the name of environmental protection. To what extent are Americans really willing to endure the environmental impacts of domestic energy production in order to cut back imports?Third, there are benefits to trade. It allows for economic efficiency, and when we buy things from places that have lower production costs than we do,we benefit. And although you don’t read about this much, the United States is also a large exporter of oil products, selling about 2 million barrels of petroleum products per day to about 90 countries. There is no question that the United States imports a great deal of energy and,in fact, relies on that steady flow to maintain its economy. When that flow is interrupted,we feel the pain in short supplies and higher prices,at the same time,we derive massive economic benefits when we buy the most affordable energy on the world market and when we engage in energy trade around the world.1.What does the author think of biofuels?A.They keep America’s economy running healthily.B.They prove to be a good alternative to petroleum.C.They do not provide a sustainable energy supply.D.They cause serious damage to the environment.2.Why does America rely heavily on oil imports?A.It wants to expand its storage of crude oil.B.Its own oil reserves are quickly running out.C.It wants to keep its own environment intact.D.Its own oil production falls short of demand.3.What does the author say about oil trade?A.It proves profitable to both sides.B.It improves economic efficiency.C.It makes for economic prosperity.D.It saves the cost of oil exploration.BWhat does it take to be a good neighbour?Over the years I have had all kinds of neighbours, ones that were enjoyable and others that were to be avoided at all costs. One of the most important things in being a good neighbour is to respect the personal privacy(隐私).When someone new moves into the neighbourhood, you’d better wait and see when and how to go to pay a visit. If you go rushing over as soon as they move in,they may think you are going to be one of those neighbours that come over at all times of the day,not respecting their privacy. It is a good idea always to be friendly to everyone in the neighbourhood. This can not only make you get along well with them, but will also be a form of protection for your family and home.If you wave as they drive by or offer a friendly hello while they are out in their yard,it shows that you like them and try to be friendly. If you are cordial(热诚的) to them, they are much more likely to watch out for any wrong doings going on around your home while you are out and let you know if anything happens.Another way of being a good neighbour is to be helpful in times of need.If you see that they are in need of a helping hand doing something or in times of difficulty,it is good to offer your help.Even though you haven’t talked alot to the people down the street, they are willing to take the time to help you because you have ever helped them when they were in need.In conclusion,if you respect their personal privacy, treat them cordially and be helpful when you see they are in need, you will be a great neighbour and anyone would be happy to have you next door!4.What should we do when a new neighbour moves in?A.Go to offer some advice.B.Go to say hello immediately.C.Wave politely through the window.D.Wait and see when and how to pay a visit.5.If we are always friendly to neighbours,we can ________.A.have our own privacyB.know more about their lifeC.make close friends with themD.keep our family members safe6.What’s the main idea of Paragraph 4?A.A friend in need is a friend indeed.B.Everybody sometimes gets into trouble.C.The neighbours should help each other.D.People needn’t talk a lot to their neighbours.7.As a good neighbour,a person should always be ________.A.brave,honest and kindB.helpful, strong and strictC.honest, active and friendlyD.respectful, friendly and helpfulⅡ.完形填空(2021·河北衡水中学高三一模)Face Adversity(逆境) with a SmileI told my friend Graham that I often cycle the two miles from my house to 阅读七选五(四)A(2023·四川省大数据精准教学联盟高三一模)It has been proved that self-care helps people lower stress and get healthier. And another interesting finding has been revealed recently. 1 As a typical form of caring about others, volunteering has been proved to be beneficial to us in the following ways.Volunteering makes us happier.Throughout history, cooperation and community have been essential parts of human survival. One reason we feel so rewarded when helping others is that the happiness of those around us has taken root in our survival instinct.According to one study, people who volunteered at least once a month reported better mental health than those who didn't. 2Volunteering increases our sense of purpose.Typically, the act of volunteering involves taking action and engaging with others. These are two mental health needs shared by most humans, especially people feeling aimless and disconnected. 3 As a result, they can have clearer goals in their own life and increase the sense of responsibility.Volunteering helps manage depression.4 That's because taking positive action helps to change the negative thoughts—whether by interacting with other people or realizing you have useful skills to share with the world.Based on that, some researchers even suggest including volunteering as an approach to treating depression.5Some researchers have discovered a link between volunteering and a lower risk of early death. This effect comes in part from how volunteering can reduce stress and depression, which in turn promotes life span, improved physical health, and better management of chronic(慢性的) diseases.A.Volunteering cures many diseases.B.Volunteering impacts our physical health.C.Caring attention towards others also improves our health.D.Volunteering also helps reduce sadness or hopelessness.E.People who always hold a positive attitude is unlikely to get depressed.F.Some even said volunteering made them as happy as having an extra $1,100.G.When volunteering, people learn new skills and develop more social connections.【语篇解读】本文是一篇说明文。
考点分类练(四) 推理推断题(2)(限时:25分钟)Passage1(2024安徽淮南二模)From the time I was a young girl, all I wanted was to play outside.I used the ferns (蕨类植物) in my childhood backyard to raise myself up muddy Pacific Northwest slopes (斜坡),sat by the edge of the property’s wo oded stream and imagined it was a winding river.Hours were spent on horseback, prepared with bags and snacks to ride the same path over and over, always dreaming up a new experience. As an adult,my interests are consistent, though the landscape has shifted. For the last four years,I have had the opportunity to explore our Earth’s most remote cold water locations as an underwater videographer and ocean-focused naturalist, developing an appreciation and understanding for challenging corners of the globe.Though my travels have taken me from Antarctica to the Arctic,it’s the temperate in-between that captivatesme.During the last four years,Southeast Alaska, particularly the Inian Islands in its incredible wildness and productivity, has stolen my attention. My name is Alyssa Adler,I am the Inian Islands Institute’s 2024 Scientist in Residence and National Geographic grant recipient for project Tall Trees in Cold Seas. The natural beauty of the Inians is pure, but the environment works for it.Massive rushing tides (潮水) flood the Hobbit Hole twice daily, like an angry river.Sometimes I learn some meaningful and useful lessons the hard way.Transportation of extensive dive equipment required the help of people in Ketchikan,Gustavus and otherplaces. These lessons only allow my respect for this region to the full, teaching me how to be successful.I need to learn and understand the power and network of Southeast Alaska, both in the water and out. It’s all worth it to roll into the salty Pacific Ocean, turn on my cameras as I sink to the seafloor, and shine my lights on early spring in the Inian Islands.1.Whatisthepurposeofthefirstparagraph?A.To share an amazing story.B.To introduce a unique plant.C.To suggest a special river.D.To their coats. The British wear these yellow flowers to show they support one of this country’s best-known charities:the Marie Curie Cancer Care. The Marie Curie Cancer Care tries to ensure everyone diagnosed with cancer is cared for in the best possible way.It also helps fund research into possible cures through other organizations.Founded in 1948,it has been continuing with its goal ever since. The charity was named after Marie Curie,a renowned scientist. She experimented with newly-discovered elements to create the theory ofradioactivity.Unfortunately,over-exposure to the radioactive elements made her develop a disease and die in 1934.Marie Curie won the Nobel Prize in two different fields.Because of her pioneering work which led to chemotherapy (化学疗法),thecharity shared the name of Marie Curie. The daffodil is one of the first plants to flower during spring in the UK,which marks the return of flowering plants to the ecosystem after winter.Because ofthis, the charity uses the daffodil as a metaphor for bringing life to other people through charitable giving.Everyone you see wearing a daffodil has donated money to the charity, but each daffodil is worth only what you want to pay for it.The charity does ask that youstick to a minimum amount of £1.The charity encourages people to start wearing their daffodils at the start of March, when the “Great Daffodil Appeal” kicks off.But that doesn’t mean you can only wear them in March.People are sometimes seen walking around with daffodils on their clothes all year round.5.What does it mean when the British wear a daffodil on their coats?A.They support a charity.B.They are recovering from cancer.C.They’ve been helped by a charity.D.They’ve been diagnosed with cancer.6.What does the underlined word “renowned” in wearers at a high price.Passage3(2024辽宁鞍山二模)We have long been attracted by quick solutions that could increase our intelligence.Today, people’s hopes lie in brain training apps, some of which claim to result in “smarter minds”.But is this quick solution all it is said to be?There are plenty of brain training apps, but they all share the same characteristics:they turn mental exercises like simple arithmetic (算术),memory testsand logic and pattern-matching problems into quick games. Some apps tell us that the more you play these mini-games,the smarter you will get.It is really a big promise. Many of the apps say they are based on “science”,a claim I found surprising as a former neuroscientist (神经系统科学家).The concept that increasing intelligence would be as simple as practicing a few mini-games every day flies in the face of what we have discovered about how humans think and learn. After surveying thousands of users across a wide variety of apps, researchers at Western University in Canada discovered that brain training had no great effect on cognitive (认知的) functioning in the real world. The positive effects that have been found are limited to the very specific mini-games and tasks that users are trained on,such as the ability to memorize lists of words or numbers,or perform mental arithmetic, with little benefit to other skills. If you are expecting them to improve your ability to write a novel or make a complex computer program,I am afraid you will want to look elsewhere.Puzzle video games such as “Baba Is You” and “Return of the Obra Dinn”,see players apply their skill at logic, memory and concentration in a far more complex way than any brain training mini-game.9.What does the author say about brain training apps?A.They have scientific support.B.They work in the form of games.C.They require problem-solving skills.D.They are based on complex arithmetic.10.What does the underlined part “flies in the face of” in paragraph 3 mean?A.Goes into details of.B.Takes advantage of.C.Goes against.es from.11.Whichbestdescribestheeffectsthatbraintrainingappshaveonmemory?A.Limited.B.Indirect.C.Damaging.D.Far-reaching.12.Whatistheauthor’sattitudeto“BabaIsYou”?A.Doubtful.B.Intolerant.C.Uninterested.D.Favorable.答案:考点分类练(四) Imagining being asked to spend twelve or so years of your life in a society which consisted only of members of own sex. How would you react? Unless there was something definitely wrong with you, you wouldn’t be too happy about it, to say the least. It is all the more surprising therefore that so many parents in the world choose to impose such abnormal conditions on their children –conditions which they themselves wouldn’t put up with for one minute!Any discussion of this topic is bound to question the aims of education. Stuffing children’s heads full of knowledge is far from being foremost among them. One of the chief aims of educations is to equip future citizens with all they require to take their place in adult society. Now adult society is made up of men and women, so how can a segregated school possibly offer the right sort of preparation for it? Anyone entering adult society after years of segregation can only be in for a shock.A co-educational school offers children nothing less than a true version of society in miniature. Boys and girls are given the opportunity to get to know each other, to learn to live together from their earliest years. They are put in a position where they can compare themselves with each other in terms of academic ability, athletic achievement and many of the extra-curricular activities which are part of school life. What a practical advantage it is ( to give just a small example ) to be able to put on a school play in which the male parts will be taken by boys and the female parts by girls! What nonsense co-education makes of the argument that boys are cleverer than girl or vice-versa. When segregated, boys and girls are made to feel that they are a race apart. Rivalry between the sexes is fostered. In a coeducational school, everything falls into its proper place. But perhaps the greatest contribution of co-education is the healthy attitude to life it encourages. Boys don’t grow up believing that women are mysterious creatures –airy goddesses, more like book-illustrations to a fairy-tale, than human beings. Girls don’t grow up imagining that men are romantic heroes. Years of living together at school dispel illusions of this kind. There are no goddesses with freckles, pigtails, piercing voices and inky fingers. There are no romantic heroes with knobbly knees, dirty fingernails and unkempt hair. The awkward stage of adolescence brings into sharp focus some of the physical and emotional problems involved in growing up. These can better be overcome in aco-educational environment. Segregated schools sometimes provide the right conditions for sexual deviation. This is hardly possible under a co-educational system. When the time comes for the pupils to leave school, they are fully prepared to enter society as well-adjusted adults. They have already had years of experience in coping with many of the problemsthat face men and women.1.What is the best title for this passage?[A] only co-education can be in harmony with society.people are in great need of co-education.[C] any form of education other than co-education is simply unthinkable.[D] co-education has many features.2.what does co-education offer to children?[A] A society.A true small model of society.[C] A real life.[D] True version of social condition.3.According to the passage, what is one of the chief aims of education?[A] It is for students to acquire knowledge. It is to equip future citizens with scientific technology.[C] It is to equip future citizens with what is required in getting a position in society.[D] It is for students to get academic achievements.4.Why do boys and girls in co-education have no illusion about each other?[A] They live together and know each other too well.Years of living together at school dismiss such illusion.[C] co-education encourage them to have an healthy attitude toward life. [D] They are familiar with each other’s problems.Vocabulary1.to be in for = receive 接受He is in for punishment. 他受到惩罚。

It had been four days of doctors giving bad news, medicine injections, procedures, MRIs and restless nights. I had been able to eat one meal a day due to the surgeries I was scheduled for later. I asked my mum to bring me my car keys and on my key chain there was a soft piece of leather made from my first baseball glove. She looked worried and sad, handing the key chain to me. In the fibres of the leather were so many memories that had transformed me as a person.I grabbed my keys and touched a smooth piece of leather. It was a nice coffee brown and about 3 inches in length. Every time I touched it, I would think of one thing—baseball. The key chain was made from my first baseball glove that I cherished so much. It carried great moments like championships as well as moments when I struck out and lost. All of a sudden, my nurse walked in and I jumped when I heard her voice. She didn’t mean to interrupt, but I needed more medicine. Once she left, I focused back and grasped the cowhide. I rubbed my fingers up and down just feeling this reminder of the game. It took me on a wild road trip through my brain and I would stop at each baseball memory. This time I began to picture the people that were involved in my baseball life.I opened my eyes, realising the road trip that I used to be on had gone with the wind. My gaze shifted to the clock on the opposite wall. Almost an hour had passed! Even in tough times the things and people you love could help you escape and you would get over all the difficulties.4.What made the author’s mother worried?A.The author’s skill in baseball.B.The author’s attitude to his life.C.The author’s present situation.D.The poor condition of the hospital.5.Why did the author treasure the key chain?A.It brought back plenty of memories.B.It was soft and comfortable to touch.C.It had witnessed his great moments.D.It was made from one of his baseball gloves.6.What does the underlined word “cowhide” in paragraph 3 mean?A.Medicine.B.Baseball.C.Glove.D.Leather.7.What can be inferred from the last paragraph?A.The author feels depressed.B.The author is confident of his future.C.The author cherishes his past experience.D.The author feels tired of the life in the hospital.C(2021·江苏泰州高三第二次联考)What should we get for our kids this holiday? As children get older, giving them something they can experience instead of material things makes them happier, according to a new research led by Chaplin. The research compares the level of happiness children get from material things with that from experiences. The results shows that children aged 3 through 12 get more happiness from material things than from experiences. However, older children get more happiness from experiences than from their possessions.“It means experiences are highly preferred by adolescents, not just expensive material things,” Chaplin says. She continues explaining,“Don’t get me wrong. Young children do love experiences. And given this concept, theme parks such as Disneyland are being built everywhere. In fact, young children are excited throughout the experience. However, for experiences to provide lasting happiness, children must be able to recall details of the events.”Long after they have unwrapped their toys, there will still be a physical reminder to give them happiness. However, young children can’t see or touch experiences after they are over, making it harder for them to appreciate experiences after a long time. There’s an easy fix, though, according to Chaplin.“Take pictures or videos of family walks, playing in the snow, and birthday parties,” she says.“Children are likely to appreciate those experiences more if there is something to remind them of the event. Additionally, they’ll be able to learn the social value of shared experiences.”Children will remember and appreciate not only the birthday gifts they received, but also the time spent with family and friends as they recall the experience through concrete reminders such as photos and videos.Since memory is developed over time, it’s likely that children, especially young ones, may not get as much happiness from past experiences as from possessions. But with age, creating new memories and exploring new interests may be far more valuable than getting possessions.8.Why are theme parks springing up according to Chaplin?A.They can offer children lasting happiness.B.Events in them are centred on specific themes.C.Direct involvement in events there caters to children.D.Kids have an affection for the atmosphere they offer.9.The underlined word “fix” in paragraph 4 can be replaced by “”.A.solutionB.arrangementC.preparationD.focus10.Which of the following would Chaplin probably agree with?A.Videos appeal to children more than gifts.B.Toys are not kids’ cup of tea.C.Older children value family time more than younger ones.D.Physical reminders help remember past experiences better.11.What can be inferred from the passage?A.Experiences are better gifts for older children.B.Social values should be put in the first place.C.New interests are most precious for children.D.Material possessions bring more happiness to children.D(2023·新高考Ⅱ卷)Reading Art:Art for Book Lovers is a celebration of an everyday object—thebook, represented here in almost three hundred artworks from museums around the world. The image of the reader appears throughout history,in art made long before books as we now know them came into being. In artists’ representations of books and reading,we see moments of shared humanity that go beyond culture and time.In this “book of books,” artworks are selected and arranged in a way that emphasizes these connections between different eras and cultures. We see scenes of children learning to read at home or at school, with the book as a focus for relations between the generations.Adults are portrayed(描绘) alone in many settings and poses—absorbed in a volume, deep in thought or lost in a moment of leisure. These scenes may have been painted hundreds of years ago,but they record moments we can all relate to.Books themselves may be used symbolically in paintings to demonstrate the intellect(才智),wealth or faith of the subject. Before the wide use of the printing press, books were treasured objects and could be works of art in their own right.More recently,as books have become inexpensive or even throwaway, artists have used them as the raw material forartworks—transforming covers, pages or even complete volumes into paintings and sculptures.Continued developments in communication technologies were once believed to make the printed page outdated. From a 21st-century point of view, the printed book is certainly ancient, but it remains as interactive as any battery-powered e-reader.To serve its function,a book must be activated by a user:the cover opened, the pages parted, the contents reviewed, perhaps notes written down or words underlined. And in contrast to our increasingly networked lives where the information we consume is monitored and tracked,a printed book still offers the chance of a wholly private,“off-line” activity.12.Where is the text most probably taken from?A.An introduction to a book.B.An essay on the art of writing.C.A guidebook to a museum.D.A review of modern paintings.13.What are the selected artworks about?A.Wealth and intellect.B.Home and school.C.Books and reading.D.Work and leisure.14.What do the underlined words “relate to” in paragraph 2 mean?A.Understand.B.Paint.C.Seize.D.Transform.15.What does the author want to say by mentioning the e-reader?A.The printed book is not totally out of date.B.Technology has changed the way we read.C.Our lives in the 21st century are networked.D.People now rarely have the patience to read.Ⅱ.七选五(共5小题; 每小题2.5分, 满分12.5分)Mixing murals, sculpture and calligraphy, grotto(石窟) temples are historical treasures of ancient Chinese art, values and spirits. Thousands of people flock to grotto temples each year. 16In October, the National Cultural Heritage Administration and the Ministry of Culture and Tourism issued a notice, urging the protection of China’s grotto temples. Grotto temple workers are required to do research and determine how many daily visitors they can safely handle. 17 Visitors are encouraged to visit at different periods or have virtual experiences related to the cultural heritage sites. These measures are aimed at preserving these relics, as both human and environmental factors have caused harm.Tourists often touch the sculptures, leading to changes in the surface and colour of the figures gradually. 18 And even the most well-behaved tourists can unknowingly cause harm to the relics. Over many centuries, the ancient rocks that make up these grottoes slowly corrode(腐蚀) due to the acid content of air, water and microorganisms. 19 According to a study by the China University of Geosciences, the carbon dioxide that visitors breathe out has made the air more acid. At the Mogao Grottoes in Gansu, researchers also found that microorganisms brought in unintentionally by visitors themselves have also led to changes in colour in murals.“20Seeing the grottoes in depth, it will help people better understand Chinese philosophy and humanities from a historical perspective,” a regional director of the Yungang Grottoes Research Academy told China News.A.Preserving these relics is important.B.Yet these relics are threatened by visitors.C.The new rule received support from visitors.D.The light from cameras can also damage the relics.E.The visitors’ number should be controlled based on this research.F.But when the grottoes are open to the public, the process speeds up.G.Efforts should also go into advertising the beauty of grotto temples.50分阅读限时满分练(四)【语篇导读】本文是一篇应用文。
语篇阅读高分练(四)(建议用时:30分钟)Ⅰ.阅读理解A(2015·甘肃省部分普通高中高三2月联考)Energy independence. It has a nice ring to it.Doesn’t it? If you think so,you’re not alone, because energy independence has been the dream of American president for decades, and never more so than in the past few years, when the most recent oil price shock has been partly responsible for kicking off the great recession.“Energy independence” and its rhetorical(修辞的) companion “energy security” are, however, slippery concepts that are rarely through, though. They value the environmental quality they preserve over their oil imports from abroad.Vast areas of the United States are offlimits to oil exploration and production in the name of environmental protection. It is a good idea always to be friendly to everyone in the neighbourhood.Thiscan not only make you get along well with them, but will also be a form of protection for your family and home.If you wave as they drive by or offer a friendly hello while they are out in their yard,it shows that you like them and try to be friendly. If you are cordial(热诚的) to them, they are much more likely to watch out for any wrong doings going on around your home while you are out and let you know if anything happens.Another way of being a good neighbour is to be helpful in times of need.If you see that they are in need of a helping hand doing something or in times of difficulty,it is good to offer your help.Even though you haven’t talked a lot to the people down the street, they are willing to take the time to help you because you have ever helped them when they were in need.In conclusion,if you respect their personal privacy, treat them cordially and be helpful when you see they are in need, you will be a great neighbour and anyone would be happy to have you next door!4.What should we do when a new neighbour moves in?A.Go to offer some advice.B.Go to say hello immediately.C.Wave politely through the window.D.Wait and see when and how to pay a visit.5.If we are always friendly to neighbours,we can ________.A.have our own privacyB.know more about their lifeC.make close friends with themD.keep our family members safe6.What’s the main idea of Paragraph 4?A.A friend in need is a friend indeed.B.Everybody sometimes gets into trouble.C.The neighbours should help each other.D.People needn’t talk a lot to their neighbou rs.7.As a good neighbour,a person should always be ________.A.brave,honest and kindB.helpful, strong and strictC.honest, active and friendlyD.respectful, friendly and helpfulⅡ.完形填空(2015·河北衡水中学高三一模)Face Adversity(逆境) with a SmileI told my friend Graham that I often cycle the two miles from my house to the
