一、课程的性质和任务

《新编英语语法教程》是为教育技术学、英语教育学两个专业二年级学生开设的基础课程。本教程是一部新型的、融合传统语法与现代语言学和语法学某些研究成果于一体的英语语法教材。编写内容深入浅出,反映了各个学科体系最新研究成果;编写思想上,除了帮助学生打下扎实的语言基本功外,还照例培养学生分析问题、解决问题的能力,使学生对英语语法有一个比较系统的了解并能借助英语语法知识解决英语学习过程中的有关问题。学生有计划地阅读英语语法教材,探讨英语语言的结构,通过各种练习,牢固地掌握英语语法,提高运用英语的能力提高学生的人文、科学素养,培养健康向上的人生观,使学生真正成为我国21世纪所需要的外语专门人才。

二、课程教学内容、要求及学时分配

第一单元 Introduction: Grammatical Hierarchy 总学时:2学时

要求学生课后作练习并掌握本章所讲的句子结构。

第二单元 Subject-verb Concord 总学时:2学时

重点与难点:

■ Guiding principles.

■ Problems of concord with a nominal clause as subject. 内容与要求:

第三单元 Genitive Noun 总学时: 2学时

四、课程教学的基本要求

教学方法:交际教学法与语法翻译法。尽可能多地给学生多锻炼的机会。

手段:教师讲解、课堂讨论和学生练习相结合。

作业:学生每次课后要做两篇翻译练习。并在下次课堂上交流作业。

(说明:每一章的基本作业的形式是一致的,只是内容不同,具体内容请读上面每一章所述)。

考试环节:

每学期安排一次期中考试,一次期末考试(包括AB卷),学生在课堂上role-play 的成绩作为平时成绩。

五、本课程与其他课程的联系

本课程的后续课是语言学。本课程是在初高中语法学习的基础上从理论上巩固学生的语法知识,本课程应该是和新编英语教程与新编英语阅读教程等课程同步学习。
