英语学术论文写作——期末报告纲要

----oucmichael@,密码michael 有人询问过关于这门课程的期末论文需要有什么规则和格式，我的期望如下：1）页数： 3-5页，格式单倍或双倍行距。附加页标明引用的内容出处及作者

2）题目：对你所做论文主题的陈述。

3）简介/假设：问题是什么，解决方案是什么。

4）摘要：严格控制在250字以内，如果你的摘要比这个长的话会扣分

5）方法、理论：你做了什么，你用什么理论方法证明你的主题，为什么用这个

方、理论法。

6）结果：从其他相关文献搜集到的原始资料，不用做解释和评论。

7）讨论：分析数据和资料，并需要论证数据如何支持您的主题观点，驳斥其他的想法。

8）总结：概括研究成果如何支持主题，建议关于这个主题的更进一步研究如何应用你的发现。

9）引用：所有直接或间接引用的语句或想法都必须作脚注，在最后附加页中写进参考文献里

10）可以使用语言形式如比较相同、对比不同、描述和伪证，只要适合你论文任何语言形式都可以。最后全面回顾，最好是看

一下第五章94页的课本“论文写作”。

ENGLISH ACADEMIC WRITING:

GUIDELINES FOR FINAL PAPER

Some of you have asked for guidance regarding the rules or format which your final paper for the ENGLISH ACADEMIC WRITING CLASS should have. The following are an outline of my expectations.

1)Number of pages: 3 to 5 typewritten single or double spaced then the

additional page of references cited.

2)Title: This should be your Topic Statement.

3)Introduction/Hypothesis: Introduce the question and your proposed

solution.

4)Abstract: Strictly limited to 250 words, you will loose points if it is

of greater length.

5)Methods: What you did, that is what methods did you use to support

your Topic Statement and why.

6)Results: The raw data you collected from other authors as you did

your research, without comment or interpretation.

7)Discussion: Your analysis of the data and your argumentation as to

how the data supports your topic statement and any refutation of other ideas that might be necessary.

8)Conclusion/Recommendations: a concluding summary of your

research findings and how it supports your topic statement.

Recommendations for application of your findings or for further

investigation of the topic.

9)Citations: all of the direct or indirect quotes or borrowed ideas must

be cited either in footnotes or in the reference section at the back of

the paper.

10)U se the language style and the instruments of

comparison/contrast/description and refutation as seems

appropriate for the type of paper you are writing. For a final

overall review of Academic writing you may wish to review Chapter

5 part one page 94 in the Text Book titled “Paper Writing”.
