my hometown is located in xi’an,shaanxi province.i’m
sentimentally attached to my hometown in my mind.xian is just like a grandiose and magnificent palace,it is all-embracing including various of palace, ancient temples and buildings such as great wild goose pagoda,terracotta army mausoleum
of the first qin emperor, daming palace site etc.it is not only
the ancient capital of 13 dynasties including the tang dynasty and so forth,but also is one of the worlds four ancient capitals composed by xian, rome, cairo and athens.
this is true a fortiori that xian is like the nervous centralis of human body because there are countless railways and 9 national highway in this intersection.it is also the joint of the two major economic regions of chinas land territory and the central and western regions of china.
at the same time,my hometown is rich in mineral resources.up to present,there are 130 kinds of useful minerals have been found,including 91 kinds of proven reserves.the proved reserves ranked first with strontium, rhenium, marl and in second and third place with mercury, molybdenum, natural gas, coal and so forth.
all of this provides requisite conditions for our survival and development.xi’an is our soul.she is the anchorage of our emotions.so,we all love her forever.

my hometown is mount lushan. have you ever been there? mount lushan is very famous for its beautiful scenery, excellent climate① and long history.
mount lushan stands on the south bank of the changjiang river and the north bank of the poyang lake. it is 1,474 metres high and has a lot of nice scenic spots②, such as the flower path(花径), the five-old-manpeak(五老峰),the jinxiu valley(锦绣谷), the immortals cave(仙人洞), the three-step waterfalls(三叠泉)and so on. thousands of people from other parts of china and foreign countries come here every year, especially in summer.
summer on mount lushan is very cool. the highest temperature is only 32℃. it can be called a huge natural air-conditioner③ in summer. winter here is nice, too. heavy snow falls every year. there is a popular saying:“mount lushan in summer is green like a clear fountain④, and in winter is white like white jade⑤.”
