How Much Is It ?

Good morning everyone , It is my honor to be here to introduce my lesson with you .Now I’ll talk about uni t from my contents consist of 6 parts:

①Analysis of the teaching material②Analysis of the students

③Analysis of the Teaching Aims ④Teaching methods

⑤Teaching procedure.⑥Layout of the the blackboard

Well, firstly, I’ll talk about Part 1 Analysis of teaching material

The teaching material I choose to illustrate is grade 4 unit5 Part B let’s talk in the PEP Primary English Students Book . This unit introduces and develops the theme of “shopping”, Students are expected to master the new word sneakers and use the sentence patterns in proper situation, such as “What size?” “How much are they?” ”We’ll take them.” By study of this unit, the students know how to ask the price in English and how to describe the size and price with simple words and sentences.

Then I’ll talk about next part Analysis of the students

It is known to us that the kids are very active and like playing games very much, so during my class, I’ll design some interesting games to activate them to participate and learn something. They will also be interested in the class.

Next I’ll talk about Analysis of the Teaching Aims

I put forward the teaching objectives according to the New English

Lesson Standard.

1. Reception objective

a) Students can hear, read and use the main sentence patterns. “A pair of …for…” “ How much are they?”

b) Students can understand and read the conversation.

2. Ability objective

a) Students can use the sentence pattern of inquiring the price.

b) Students can use the patterns to express their thoughts in the proper scene.

3. Moral objective

a) Students can increase their interests and set up their self-confidence in language study.

b) Students can have the consciousness of good cooperation and proper competition.

4. the key points of this lesson.

First of all, study and use the sentence patterns “what size?” “How much are they?”

Secondly, understand the context, read and play the context.

Difficult points

a) Help Students read and play the dialogue fluently.

b) Train the students‟ abilities of cooperation.

Let’s move on to another part Teaching methods

This part I will use some pictures, cards and body language to help them get a better understanding of the content to achieve the aims.

The Task-based teaching method, Communicative teaching method and Group cooperation teaching method will be used in this period.

Now I’ll talk about most important part Teaching procedure

It consists of 5 steps :

Step 1 Lead-in

I will play an English song for Students and have a free talk related to this period with them. it can attract S tudents‟ attention and make them feel satisfied.

Step 2 Presentation

1.B efore I present the dialogue, I’ll create a real situation for Students to speak English freely. This task will arouse Students‟ interest and encourage them to ask questions with new knowledge.

2. At this time, Play the recorder , let the students concentrate on listening, then,answer my question according to the dialogue. Students are expected to answer some questions related to the new words. In this way, new words are taught.

Meanwh ile, I’ll write down the sentence patterns on the blackboard. Students need to practice the new words and sentences in different ways. Step 3 Practice
