Abbreviations

Materials
1 ball 8ply yarn – grey
Small amount of 8ply yarn – black
Small amount of yarn 8ply – Olive green
Coloured yarn for bow (Optional)
2 x 10mm safety eyes (not recommended for children under
3 years – embroidered eyes are optional) Fibre fill for stuffing
3.5mm Hook
HEAD
Working in the round
Make a magic ring with grey
1.SC 6, close magic ring (6)
2.INC in each stitch around (2 stitches in each ST) (12)
3.SC 1 then INC in next, repeat 5 times (18)
4.SC in next 2 stitches then INC in next, repeat 5 times (24)
5.SC in next 3 stitches then INC in next, repeat 5 times (30)
6.SC in next 4 stitches then INC in next, repeat 5 times (36)
7.SC in next 5 stitches then INC in next, repeat 5 times (42)
8.SC in each ST for next 6 rows (42)
15. SC in next 5 ST then DEC (2 ST together) in next, repeat 5 times (36)
16. SC in next 4 ST then DEC in next, repeat 5 times (30)
17. SC in next 3 ST then DEC in next, repeat 5 times (24)
Insert Safety eyes, ensuring backs are on securely
Place eyes between rows 9 & 10 with 6 ST between
18. SC in next 2 ST then DEC in next, repeat 5 times (18)
Stuff head with fibre fill
19. SC in next ST then DEC in next, repeat 5 times (12)
20. Dec in each ST around (6)
Fasten off, use end of yarn to sew circle closed.
EARS – Make 2
Working in the round
Make a magic ring with grey
1.SC 6, close magic ring (6)
2.INC in each stitch around (2 stitches in each ST) (12)
3.SC 1 then INC in next, repeat 5 times (18)
4.SC in next 2 stitches then INC in next, repeat 5 times (24)
5.SC in each ST for next 2 rows (24)
7. SC in next 2 ST then DEC in next, repeat 5 times (18)
8. SC in each ST for next 2 rows (18)
9. Hold both sides of the ear together and SC in both sides to close (9)
Fasten off and leave a long tail to sew to head
NOSE
1.CH 4 in Black yarn, working in the round on both sides of the CH
2.In 2nd CH from Hook 2SC, SC in next ST, 4 HDC in next ST ,SC in next, 2 SC in next
3. 2 SC , SC, SC, HDC, in next ST 2 DC then SC in the 2nd DC just made, HDC, SC, SC, 2 HDC, 2 HDC, SL ST
4.Fasten off leaving a long tail to sew to head
5.With a scrap of white yarn sew a highlight line across the top of the nose.
