Please give a brief summary of your current recreational and leisure activities, including sports and hobbies.
My current recreational and leisure activities are as follows:
(1) Traveling: I enjoy traveling around and talking to the local people very much, which not only broadens my horizons but also gives me inspirations;
(2) Sports: I am passionately fond of basketball and I was a member of Department Team as a key player. Doing sports makes me retain youthful vigor and feel energy; (3) Volunteering: In my spare time, I enjoy doing volunteering with my friends and classmates, last month we started a fundraising for donation to Yunnan earthquake;
(4) Music and Movies: Music is one of my biggest passions: I am a big fan of jazz and country music. I am also a moviegoer and recently I saw Midnight in Paris, which is directed by my favorite director Woody Allen;
(5) Reading: I like reading news related to my majors, which helps me better comprehend the knowledge from books;
What clubs and societies are you a member of and in what capacity?
I was the vice president working for Public Relations Department of Student Union:
(1) Organized numbers of campus events such as Welcome Party, New Year Party, sports competitions, etc;
(2) Adopted various promotion methods to attract over 6,000 students to the events;
(3) Raised corporate sponsorships and donors worth over￥80,000;
(4) Worked as liaison point between college instructors and students;
(5) Awarded Excellent Student Leader for the outstanding performance;
What factors have influenced your career choice?
(1) Personality: Perfectionist, energetic, detail-oriented, team player, able to work under pressure, a quick learner;
(2) Language Skills: Fluency in English, native speaker of both Mandarin and Cantonese;
(3) Professional Skills: Knowledge of accounting and finance, solid foundation in mathematics, strong interest in analyzing financial reports;
(4) Career development paths offered: KPMG is one of the top accounting firms in the world and is also my favorite career goal. Its dynamic and fast growing will truly provide me with a great opportunity to work with a group of well-trained professionals. I firmly believe I have the enthusiasm and potentiality to be evolved in KPMG to cultivate myself to be a quality professional.
(5) Educational Background: My first major is Financial Mathematics so I have a clear understanding of finance and I am sensitive with numbers. My second major is Business English which shows me the business circle and enables me to improve my comprehensive English competence;
(6) Economic Trends: In recent years, China actively participates in globalization, especially the economic globalization, which places greater demands on financial regulation, this is exactly the specialty of Audit at KPMG;
(7) Family: My father is a psychologist and my mother is a teller. They are both excellent and my role models. I am the only son so that I have to take the financial burden and take care of them when they are old;
Outline your career ambitions and objectives.
(1) Short-term objective: Be engaged in a dynamic and diversified company, which offers me a fast-paced multinational corporations career with global exposure to best business practices and a chance to grow as much as possible through the challenging work ;
(2) Mid-term objective: After the efforts and study in actual practice for a few years, I could be a qualified professional such as an excellent auditor, and have to obtain qualification certificate such as CPA, which prepare me a competent leader making greater contribution to the company;
