Paper cutting is one of China’s most popular tradi tional folk arts. Chinese papercutting has a history
of more than 1,500 years. It was widespread parti cularly duringthe Ming and Qing Dynasties. People of ten beautify their homes with paper cuttings.During the Spring Festival and wedding celebrations, in par ticular, paper cuttings areused to decorate doors, w indows and rooms in order to enhance the joyousatmo sphere.
