Nowadays, the Chinese fever is warming up. Since the first Confucius institute opened in Seoul in 2004, more and more Confucius institutes come with the tide.
In the period up to October 2009, a total of 523 Confucius Institutes and Confucius Classrooms have been established in 87 countries and regions over the world. By the year 2010, there will be about 100 million non-Chinese worldwide learning Chinese as a foreign language and it plans to set up 500 Confucius Institutes worldwide.
It can’t be denied that the first step goes well in spreading the language. In fact, it is the continuous culture that makes the institute shine. We hope one day, what motivates foreigners most to learn Chinese is not business, but the admiring to the fascinating Chinese culture.
How can we realize the dream? On the one hand, we should keep the speeding development in all aspects to strengthen our power.
On the other hand, we must take action from our land. We should establish a harmonious community, a community of Confucius style. Now, most people learn French because they admire the atmosphere of fashion and glory. No longer than 50 years, people will learn Chinese in order to live in the Chinese culture, enjoy the peace and harmony only exists in we china.
