门内有君子，
门外君子至；
门内有小人，
门外小人至。
东海曾闻无定波，
北邙未肯留闲地。
趋炎虽暖，
暖后更觉寒增；
食蔗能甘，
甘馀便生苦趣。
争名利，
要审自己分量，
休眼热别个，
辄生嫉妒之心；
撑门户，
要算自己来路，
莫步趋他人，
妄起挪扯之计。
Gentlemen arrive from outside,
If there are gentlemen inside;
Villains arrive from outside,
If there are villains inside.
The Eastern Sea has no water without waves, Beimang Mountain has no places that are unused. Ingratiating yourself with the powerful and rich Can bring you some benefit,
But when there is no more benefit,
You feel even more dejected;
Eating sugar cane can bring you some sweetness, But when the sweetness is gone,
The lack of taste seems to become bitterness.

Do not admire others

Remain within your financial means
When keeping up appearances,
Do not follow in others' steps
And borrow and squander money extravagantly.
家庭和睦，
疏食尽有馀欢；
骨肉乖违，
珍馐亦减至味。
观过知仁，
投鼠忌器。
爱而知其恶，
憎而知其善。
贫而无怨难，
富而无骄易。
Rare delicacies lose their superb taste,

晴空看鸟飞，
流水观鱼跃，
识宇宙活泼之机；
霜天闻鹤唳，
雪夜听鸡鸣，
得乾坤清纯之气。
先学耐烦，
切莫使气，
性躁心粗，
一生不济。
Watch birds flying in the clear sky,
Watch fish swimming in running water,
And you can feel the mystery
Of the universe's vitality.
Listen to cranes crying in frost,
Listen to roosters crowing in snow,
And you can feel the atmosphere

Learn to be patient,

举世好承奉，
承奉非佳意。
不知承奉着，
以尔为玩戏。
得时莫夸能，
不遇休妒世。
物盛则必衰，
有隆还有替。
路径仄处，
留一步与人行；
滋味浓的，
减三分让人嗜。

All people like to be flattered,
Although they seldom receive sincerity. When you are luckily ascendant,
Do not ostentatiously brag
That you are talented;
When you are unfairly unrecognized,
Do not jealously complain about society. Everything that has a rise has a decline, Everything that is at its nadir
Can reach its zenith.
Leave some of a narrow road
For others to pass,
Leave some of your tasty food
For others to enjoy.
为人要学大，
莫学小，
志气一卑污了，
品格难乎其高；
持家要学小，
莫学大，
门面一弄阔了，
